My personal preference right now would be have the in cab display with guages but eventually will be like everyone else and start doing more upgrades that would require a custom tune. If you think about it everyones needs are different. Some race there trucks 24/7 some want nothing more than fuel mileage. If you offered a custom tune AND in cab display you would flood the market and I for one would help spread the news. Hope you guys are listening to what people are saying.

The way i look at it, for the hemi guys, is if superchips comes out with some badass custom tuning for the hemi, so we can run alot more forced induction and BIG cams, they will DOMINATE the aftermarket tuning for the hemi. do you hear that superchips?? you will be the ONLY company to offer a programmer for the hemi that can custom tune for additional mods, and by being the only company that offers this tuning would mean that you would get 100% sales from the guys that want/need custom tuning. now this being said if you screw around not taking this seriously waiting until mid 2007 which based on past promisses probably means it wont come out until early 2008, then someone else is going to come out with custom tuning before you do, and alot of future customers wont even hesitate to pick the other company over superchips.

Without a doubt I would appreciate having more granular control over settings, like fuel maps and so forth, to adjust for mods like CAI, exhaust, etc. In general, more CONTROL. It would also be cool if there was a PC application where these changes could be made and then downloaded to the tuner. Take more advantage of the PC platform to give users control over their tune, rather than using the tuner's more limited menu-driven interface. The tuner is cool, but the PC is where tweaking could be done, tune profiles exchanged, and so forth. The tuner would become a 'conduit' for actually programming the car with whatever tune was arrived at on the PC.

We just need HEMI edit.
Otherwise the major players in the HEMI truck market will start going stand alone and the masses will go with them...

After coming from a car I could custom tune/ Have custom tuned, the market doesn't even realize how much power is to be had with this option. There are gauge packs out there...why reinvent the wheel..
Custom Tuning all the way

First of all, I am in no way connected with SC other than being a customer. Having said that, My 8000 pound '05 Excursion Powerstroke pulled a 0-60 in 5.92 seconds!! That's not far off the picture on the box, so let's be fair here.
Regarding preferences, I'd love to have "on the fly" power level tuning and a real time display for keeping track of my truck. Custom tuning would be nice down the line, and I really like the idea (as previously requested) of being able to save both stock and custom parameters on my computer, especially in case Ford flashes the computer in a way that screws up the performance!
Another great reason for saving to the computer would be if the truck inadvertently gets "reflashed" while the tune is installed. Currently Superchips charges a hefty fee for "lost" programming, but if you set up a backup file that allows the programmer to verify that the tune "belongs" to the person who saved it you could protect against using the programmer simultaneously on more than one truck without penalizing the owner who might have lost his/her tune by accident.
Regards,
Steve

I think the On the Fly changes apply to the oil burners like my self. We are the ones that have the large changes in horse power and Torque. We also have to monitor what we are running if we tow somthing.

Both would be really nice. I'm not quite the performance nut like most, so in cab display and tune on the fly would be my first choice.

A little bird tells me it will be BOTH. Especially since they own Edge's junk now. Hopefully they will fix the horrible engine-tranny killing tunes that Edge put out.
Custom Tunes is what is needed the most!
