When are you guys going to have a extreme download out for the the flashpaq? I have the tranny to handle it and I would like to get the extreme or I am going to sell my flashpaq and get a diablosport/puck combo. from the looks of it seems you dont want to release something that could cause problems that is good but I am ready for something over the performance setting. Why cant we get a waiver to sign to release you from responsibility for damages?

Have you upgraded your fuel system also?
Exhaust?
Gauges?
Air system?
With the needs of the tune, we may never see a extreme program.
Yes, a waiver would be the right thing to offer. BUT the powers to be have not said IF and WHEN they may offer this to the public.

Ron could you tell me how the flashpaq goes about making its power? is it fuel pressure, timing or duration. I just wana figure out what it does so i can find something to stack with it. thanks art

now your saying that there is a possibility that the extreme tune won't be available at all. thats just not right on sc part. way back when i bought the programmer the exteme tune was the sole purpose why i bought the sc

if you or any one else would like to get your money back you can.
your box for the flashpaq says that it offers things that are not available. and it also has some rough dates...
this is called false advertising. and any and every retailer must return a product that does not do what it advertises it can do...
this also applies to the company making statements like "this item will be available to the public by the end of the year" if that was your reason for buying it then you are entitled it. or you are entitled your money back...
thats just the way it works... you can call 5 years later and say they kept promising you it would be out. well its still not out so you are entitled your money back as you purchased it on the word of the manufacture that it could do something it cannot.
you can't say your soda cures cancer and then say well it might one day but today it doesn't... a little extreme but the same thing...
I REALLY DO THINK IT IS BAD BUISNESS AND VERY WEAK TO GO BACK ON YOUR WORD.
I LIKE THE TUNER AND AM HAPPY SO FAR WITH IT. BUT I ALSO BOUGHT IT BECUASE ONEDAY I PLAN TO DO SOME SERIOUS MODDING.
IF I AM UNABLE TO DO THIS AND GET A CUSTOM TUNE FOR THE SETUP I CHOOSE I WILL ALSO BE RETURNING MINE.
YES THE TUNER IS FINE FOR STOCK TRUCKS... BUT I KNOW THAT MOST OF YOUR CUSTOMERS ARE NOT WANTING TO STAY STOCK...
EVEN MY DAD WHO IS 50+ WANTS TO DO SOME MODDING. NOTHING CRAZY JUST REPLACE SOME OF THE KNOWN WEAKER PARTS IN THE TRUCK....

I am disappointed as well. Especially if the recent updates to the 3805 are not as powerful as the first tune I had. My 04.5 felt much faster on performance than my 06 does. Only my &H as the dyno I must admit. My 04.5 fried the clutch and tires. Not so in the 06.

Yea figures, I bought my flashpaq quite awhile back and admit i like it alot, it could download faster though and on the fly would be nice but i knew what i was getting, at least i thought i did. If the Extreme tune has been used only as a selling gimmick this whole time and now you say your not even coming out with it, thats just wrong and my respect for the company has dwindled. I think i want my money back also. The Diablosport combo looks quite tempting as a replacement and has alot of the things that i wished the Flashpaq had including extreme tune and the puck to stack on top of that.

We are not a fly by night, company that does not care about our reputation of safe products. Why don't you make a list of all of the WORTHY trucks that HAVE all of these items done, and they are willing to wave any and all liabilities, and I will personally take the list to the higher ups. I can't promise anything, but I will have the conversation.
Do not come to me with almost all of these items, you have to have installed ALL of them.

my truck is stock still so i don't personally need the tune.
however the point remains. you shouldn't have to try to convince the higher ups. this was promised to be released. there are lot of people who can use this who wouldn't buy a superchips becuase of the iffyness of the company. go look around on some of the dodge forums. you will see a small percentace use the (* flashpaq. becuase the majority of the people who buy these things have done many mods. but diablosport, bullydog, smarty and a few others all have programs they can use. superchips does not.
if you had the extreme tune then people with the ability to run it would come to you. becuase it would make the most power.
also, if you had the extreme tune people would mod thier trucks to handle the power. thats what people do. they don't change all kinds of crap with no need too.
a good example is bully dog or the diablosport. they have multiple tunes. i see people everyday who started out with the low tune and as they aquired more mods the went up a level....
so your companies reasoning is not even valid..................
you sould not be saying do you have this or this or that. no then no tune for you....
you should be saying here is this tune. however, we are not responsible if any of the parts behind the engine are unable to handle the power. any failure due to excessive power is the responibility of the consumer...
not saying dont C.Y.A.
people should not need to send in reciepts proving they got an intake or fuel pump or new tranny or new rearend. people should be able to download the programm they feel they need...
look how many units bullydog sells everyday. or even diablosport. they released these tunes and i haven't heard of one person saying. "they didn't tell me access power might break something behind the engine"..... not one. but when you go to the majority of dodge diesel forums you don't really see superchips as a popular choice... becuase they are a tuner that is only for stock vehicles even though the box says "custom tunes for your specific needs".................

In response to this statement, that is not our market, we are marketing these products to people with stock to lightly modified vehicles. We would not have lasted this long not thinking about longevity. We have been known for many years prior and after the Bull, Smart, and who-sport ever came along, to be a product that can be used for years, and not tear up trucks. The large majority of our sales are word of mouth, and new vehicle sales, we have always strived to make a product one could feel safe to use for years.
The convincing I need to make in my opinion would have to be that we have this many people that do not care about longevity, or reliability of the tune.

ron,
your missing the point... this is a flashpaq/... we can download things.
its not the microtuner where what it has is what you get....
just becuase the tune is available doesn't mean every yahoo in the world is going to run it......
people have common sense. not everyone but most...
you can still have regular tunes.... and then just like the DAQ make it an optional download... and put another check box that states :
"i am aware that superchips is not responsible for any damage related the the excessive power this tune will provide" make it so they have to check the box to download the programm...
thats the point here... the flashpaq can download more then just updates you know... so make it optional to download and use the extreme tune...
ron i am not trying to argue i hope your not thinking that. remember i am currently stock.... but i can see the other side.... just trying to help you to see it also....
there is no logical reason to not release what was already said to be released...

I guess if the logic that I have passed on to you does not make sense I guess you will never understand.
We have never made a program and gave it to the masses that would destroy factory parts, as this one would.
Don't get me wrong, I personally would love to see the Extreme to come to market, to show how advanced our tuning is over the competitors.
