I have a 2006 Charger (build date 6/05) version 1.06 on the Flashpaq. Last night I noticed while sitting at a stoplight my headlights were fading in and out. This is the first time I have seen this with my car. Is this do to the Flahpaq? Also, I changed to have the higher shift points. when I was entering an on-ramp to the freeway and in normal drive, the rpm's went to about 6000 and were bouncing off, making the engine stutter revving (if that makes sense). I backed off and it was ok. Is this normal? I did change it back to stock shifts when I got back home.

Do you have aftermarket stereo? Make sure you have a cap on it no matter what size.
There is a lot of electronics on these cars and the alternator performance at idle is not impressive, and the OEM batteries are always junk. Lights, radio, kick on the seat heaters, and then the heat; takes up a lot of power.
Not sure about the shift points. Sounds like you bounced the rev limiter (almost like it raised the shift points and not the rev limiter). I think the raised shift points on the SC is an unfinished and partially untested feature which wrecks havoc on other parts of the tune it should have nothing to do with (ie. changes autostick function, shift quality, etc).

Thanks Mike, no I don't have an aftermarket stereo. Just the stock 6 disc and nav. All I had on at the time was the defrost.

Might have the delaer check it out. Might be a bad battery - that would be no surprise even brand new.
Defrost and headlights are the 2 highest amp draws, followed by the seats. Put it should be able to keep up with that.
How was your idle? My SC tune varies the surges from 500-700, and when it dips low, everything dims. I hope they come up with a fix for it soon.

The idle is always high on initial start up (around 1000). But then drops to about 600-700 when it warms up. Sounds like you pretty much have the same issue.

I have a hemi truck and can say that I have low idle when setting the SC to performance mode. It's stalled a few times. Doesn't stall in 87 octane mode.
Try running your car in 87 octane mode (you can keep pumping whatever gas you like) and see if you still have the low idle and light dimming problem.

See other posts about this. Very known issue. The trucks idle VERY low ~450-500 RPM's. The car idle just s.u.c.k.s. plain and simple. With stock tune they both do very well.
