My 3865 has had nothing but problems since I installed the second release updater program I was able to install the transmission tuner and the tire pressure monitor.
Then I installed it on my 2005 Dodge Durango 4.7L Magnum and I periodically checked for updates and also got the user setting.
Then one time after an update I hooked it to the Durango is said it was locked so I called and they just kept telling me once it was installed there was no need to do it again.
Finally someone told me to send it back in because I couldn’t change to tow, stock, performance or anything else,
When I got it back it would connect to the Durango but it was saying SUPERCHIPS UPDATE XP USB PORT IS LOCKED UNLOCK TUNER. So I called back and everyone I talked to said I didn’t need to update it after the first time. Also when I originally purchased it I told them all the modifications that I had done and they said it was what I needed then a few of the tech support people told me it was only for a stock Durango. I had previously installed just a Superchip on my 1999 modified Explorer and it was great. But, I’m not impressed with the programmer. I took it to a dyno shop and he said he wasn’t impressed with them either so I have been shopping around. I've tried removing and reinstalling the driver via device manager, installing the driver you specified in the program files/superchips folder (the 32 bit version, dated 02/10) every USB port available, removing the updater completely and reinstalling. Security software isn't the issue.
Any Ideas? The other day they said if there is another update to send it in to be fixed. How much is this going to cost me, beyond the couple hours I already have in it? or can I somehow pick up a firmware recovery file and do it from here?

If the USB port is locked the tuner would have to come in for repair.
I wish we had a way to fix it with a update.

This is caused by too many failed attempts at updating the tuner

What is the tuners serial number? I will look into this.
