I need to pull the distributor on my 1996 Silverado to change the intake gaskets and was wondering if I could use my 2815 to check the cam retard offset when I'm finished. If not, is it possible to get that feature in the future?

I am sorry to say no and no.

I would do it the old fashion way, Top dead center, and mark the distributor, and aline the crank pully to there marks.

I would also make sure the tuning is out when you set the timing.
