My check engine light only comes on, when I install the superchips tune. I have changed the sparkplugs, wires and swapped the coil with another and it’s still p2308. When I put the stock tune back on, the light doesn’t come on and I did this two different times. I noticed a few members on the forum had this happen to them with a different ignition coil secondary circuit, what’s the fix?

I googled the code:
"check the wire and boot, moisture in the boot will do that. You can also swap a coil and see if it follows the coil." From =dodgetalk.com/forums

I would do some research, there is alot of talk about this issue.

I Googled the code also and been on several different sites. I was getting the code only when installing the tune. I returned it to stock once again and put almost 500 miles on it, no light. When I install the tune, the light comes on between 25 to 50 miles of driving. Replaced the sparkplugs, wires and swap the coil with another twice. If it was the boot, wires or sparkplugs, the light would come on when returned to stock.

Stock recommended plugs I assume?

How long have you had the tuning installed with good operation?

Code came in every time after tune was installed. I had champion plugs in originally when I first got the code. Thinking the problem was the plugs, I purchased new ones, then new wires.

"Replaced the sparkplugs, wires and swap the coil with another twice."

Did we leave the coils in the other cylinders? Enough to test?

See, I have had this code once in 4 years on this forum, and after talking with the calibrators, we have dozens of people with this calibration that your truck is using with no issues.

I can write this up and have them review the files. But nothing has changed in the 3 months that you have owned the tuner. On your truck calibration or the update program.

Dodge motors are know not to work well with some brands of plugs. This is why I hit on this like this.

Do a search on the forum, and see how many conversations we have had about this code.

Yeah, I did leave them on the other cylinders and code is still showing No. 3 cylinder. I would hate to purchase another set of plugs, when I only get this code with tune installed. I think its the file, cause its fine with the stock tune. Could you have it reviewed, please.

Thanks

It is hard to believe that it isolates one cylinder, to give the issue.

But I will have them verify.

We have talked before, how come we have not discussed this?

new case #94432

Did some searching and tried to clear it up first, thinking it was the truck and not the tune.
