Hello all. I have a 2004 Hemi ram 1500 4x4 with the 3865. I have not purchased transmission update yet, but what I have noticed with the superchips schedule is that right around 36 mph it's really rough on shifting. It will shift up to lets say 3rd when you let off the gas, but if you put the slightest pressure on the gas pedal it will downshift to 2nd. It's a very rough shift too. It feels like you're slamming it into drive from neutral. While coming to a stop from a higher speed, you can feel it downshift like it's a manual tranny and letting the clutch out. Is that just where the shift point is? Why is rough? I know the update will allow me to change where the shift point is, but will it help smooth out the transition between gears?
Thanks for the help.

The Superchips shift schedule will be a little more aggressive than stock and in certain situations the gears will hold longer. You can use the tuning with the stock shifts and that may be a better alternative for you.

The rough shift and "slamming" into gear doesn't sound right. Is this at WOT? First time running the tuning? It's definitely going to be a different feeling than stock.

Thank you Keys.!!

How many miles did you have on the tuning? Did it get any better after putting some miles on it?

It's always at barely any throttle. I'm not sure of the exact gear numbers, but lets just say 2nd and 3rd. When i'm going about 36 Mph and I let off the gas, it will shift to 3rd. If I give it any gas at all, doesn't matter how much, it'll shift back to 2nd. This shift is extremely hard. It's like when you're coming to a stop in some cars and you don't completely stop and then give it gas, how it kind of launches... Same feeling. The truck has about 100k on it and the tune has been on for atleast 500 miles.

I would suggest to do a battery reset.
With the truck shut off and no key in the ignition.
Remove the positive battery terminal and put your foot on the brake, with the headlight switch turned on for 2 minutes.
This will reset the vehicles computers and hopefully help on the relearn when driving it afterwards.
If it does not help it, I would remove the tuning (go back to stock) and drive it for 1-200 on the stock tune to verify the stock drivability.
