Curious to see how this goes, I believe I have the same issue...

Did you have a custom built transmission done?

His issue had to do with the torque converter in the trans upgrade.

I don't have a custom tranny setup, just doesn't feel like the same truck after I did an update in October

I would take the tuning out for a few hundred miles and then reinstall it.

We do not change the tuning with updates.

The update is to add more newer vehicle files to the database, as Ford releases new calibrations.

Ron,
So after a few months here's what I've noticed on the use of the superchips with a tugger kit. The transmission still shifts very hard from first to second... the rest of the gears are ok. Really kicks even when I'm not accelerating hard.

I'd like to try the tuner back on stock since I may make some adjustments to the kit directly and then see how they interact with the tuner.

Could you please reset the tuner for me to it's regular settings. (you may remember that you had made some changes I guess throttled it back a bit to see if it would kick less) I'd like full power now!
Thanks, Tom

Update the tuner and let me know when that is done.

I will send it over to the calibrator to review.

The tuner has been updated. Thanks for all your help. I wonder if the newer Cortex would give me additional ways to modify for the transmission upgrade?

Ok, lets be sure here.

The tuner does not have any end user adjustment for the transmission.

It will also take some work to revert back if you do not like it.

Ron,
Ok. I couldn't remember if the cortex did some of this.

So, I'll stick with the 1805. Just want to get it back to it's factory settings so I can then work with the transmission folks and see if we can lessen the 1st-2nd hard shift.

Thanks, Tom

Ron,
Just checking to see if the tuner is back to it's original 'out of the box' settings.
Thanks, Tom

I have emailed calibrations again, this may take a week to find out.

According to the calibrations department you are at a production DB right now.
But they are also saying that they can not adjust the tuning for this option anylonger.

Thanks Ron.
So, I thought that you had adjusted the tuner back a few months to try to lessen the hard shift? Am I mistaken? Just want to make sure it's back to 'original' before I talk to the transmission folks.

We see only a production database for the tuner on this last update.
