The 87 tune has greatly improved the shifting but I would like to change the shifting so that I don't have to put my foot in it or manually downshift when slowing down to turn a corner for example. Can I do this with the flashpaq? The features page seem to say this is available but I'm not sure how to do it. I have the 4.7 and everything is stock.

You can have full control of the transmission.

That's an upgrade of $39.95, but worth every penny and more. Trust me when I say, you will notice a huge difference with the full blown trans options. They give you full control of all part throttle shifts (1-4 up, incl. prime and 2-5 down, incl. prime). You also get full control of torque management via WOT and PT.

Awesome program and definitely worth learning. I alpha tested and then lead a large team of beta testers. This program was tested for over a year.

Check out this thread over at Dodgetalk: Web://www.dodgetalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=326108

(You'll have to replace "Web" with "h t t p". This forum blocks web links.) Great information there and you'll get help.

Read first post for some important information and FAQ.

I did upgrade to the advanced tranny but I really don't know what I'm doing and don't want to cross my shifts. Is there a way to use the SC schedule and just tweek a couple shifts or would I have to go to user and change them all myself? From the looks of the schedule, my truck should be downshifting before it actually is. On the truck, when it says that I'm in 4th, I actually am in 3rd right? My biggest complaint is that it isn't shifting to 2nd soon enough when slowing down. The schedule says that at 0% it should shift to 2nd at 19mph. I have been paying attention to my speeds and shifting to see where it is shifting. At 15 with 0% it is still in 3rd (4th on the display). This is with the SC shift schedule installed with 87 tune. Any suggestions?

The only thing you need to be worried about is crossing corresponding up and downshifts only.

Example: 1up and 2dn, 2up and 3dn, etc. You can see that clearly in the graphs.

Superchips won't let you see what they do with shifts. It's proprietary to their tuning. If you have the program, my best advice is to load up a shift schedule. It's not as difficult as you think. The excel sheet is laid out in the format of the program. Don't let it overwhelm you. Learn it because, you'll be glad you did.

Have a great New Year!

Thanks for the reply. Would you say the 2008 shift schedule on the spreadsheet is more aggressive than the superchips schedule?

Yes.

It also will hold gears better, you won't have to bury the pedal to get going and it tunes out the TC lockup lug that is felt in these trucks. I wouldn't drive the truck without my custom shift schedule. It's a big lug otherwise.

Load up the MYOUNG v3 schedule on the server. He's done several for 2010.

Just a word of advice. It's not a one size fits all program. You may load up one of the schedules on the server and not like parts of it. That's where you come in and make changes. I would say for the most part, all the schedules on the server are a great starting point.

Have fun and let us know how it goes!

Thanks for the help!

My pleasure!

Check out this thread over at Dodgetalk (Especially read first post and first post will have link to Shift Schedule server):

Web://www.dodgetalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=326108

(You'll have to replace "Web" with "h t t p". SC forum blocks web links.) Great information there and you'll get help.

Read the FAQ in that first post as well. You won't find much here because, it's a custom tuning program and SC gives no advice on custom applications. If you have any questions, ask them in that forum thread.

Take your time and in no time it'll be second nature. We had 25 beta testers on this program for a year. No issues. Solid and you'll never look back. I look forward to hearing what you think.

I did find the shift schedule there but it only has schedules for years up to 2008. I did do some searching on the dodgetalk forum and found this: web://mcfail.net/superchips/5.7L%20sche ... e%20v3.xls

Is this the schedule you would recomend?
Here is the link to the actual forum where I found the above link.

I'll send you a message tonight on Dodgetalk. Since you have a 4.7, I'll need you to log all your TP%'s and stock MPH numbers into the excel sheet and e-mail it over to me. I'll send you my e-mail on DT. I'll make you a starter schedule and you can tweak from there.

Working off the Hemi schedule isn't going to be the best for you.
