It is a high priority to get this fixed.
They are working on it now.
I have passed this on to them for a estimate.
What was it that you needed the update for? Did the tuner require one? If so we can have it sent into us, and we can fix it for you here.
Ron

Well Lately I have Heard some Knocking @ around 3000 RPM. I have Check for any Engine Code for errors Which I get non. I have the Tuner set for Economy since May 2011. I wanted to See If Performance tune would have the same Knocking. I have Checked all My Injectors and Fuel Pump for Pressure and It up to Specs. I really Don't Know what would be the problem. All I know is that it was not doing it before the Economy Tune. Any Suggestions Ron?

"I have installed a BBK 70mm throttle Body with a AFE Cold Air Intake, Relocated Air Intake Temperature Sensor & Power wire" Taken from your other post.
The throttle body is not going to work with the tuning, this is most likley your Pinging issue.
You had a random cylinder missfire code in previous posts, did that get fixed? Did you change from the factory recommended spark plugs inthe truck?
You can back down the timing in the additional features area that should help your pinging.
Ron

I fixed all the Misfire with New Coils and Spark Plugs as I also Removed the Power Wire and Gave it away. I was not knocking before and recently upon fixing the issues I went from stock to Economy to save Fuel. My 4.7 has the following Mods for good CAI, Jet 180*F thermostat, BBK 70mm Throttle Body and I'm Getting Knocking at Part Throttle I'm Afraid to Go higher. My factory O2 sensors are in place as are the stock converters. I live in Florida and we are stuck with the Fuel containing 10% Ethanol which this is VERY LEAN. The spark plugs are WHITE I also Have no trouble Codes. I have had the 70mm Throttle since the Beginning of my First Tune ever and I never had Knocking. I'll Try the whole backing down on timing but I really think is a Tuning issue This is recently upon my last tune. From my Computer Dash command I manage to see my AFR and I see a lean Issue maybe you might wanna see . 2,000-----14.8 2,500-----14.3 3,000-----14.5 3,500-----14.2 4,000-----13.9 4,500-----13.8 5,000-----13.9 5,500-----13.8 6,000-----14.2

The tuning has not changed in close to 10 years. So I do not think it has to do with the tuning. The headers and throttle body with some possible maintence items are what is causing the truck to run lean. If you are having degrading performance and reliability, the most common thing that happens on those motors is a leaking intake manifold gasket.
What plugs did you use? Factory recommended? Dodge motors are known not to like the fashion plugs. Ron

Good Morning Ron, I have Autolite 5224 Spark Plugs. The Engine Has been Replace NEW OEM from the Dealer and all the sensors and Internal and External Parts are brand New I spent 10K so I know there's no problem at all and my PCM is up to date which was done at the Dealer while they were installing my Engine back in late 2010. It's 100% Tuning. I went this morning and filled up on 93 octane which cost me $90 Dollars and I set the Programmer from Economy to Performance and the Knocking was even worst and It started Knocking before 3000 Rpm as for Economy tune the knocking started from 2900 RPM and up So I thought this can not be good for any engine so I Tune the truck again but this time I went back to Stock (Factory Tune) and what you know no Knocking at all at part Throttle or WOT there was NON. all the parts I had with the Tune is still installed with the Stock Tune. Please Double Check again on my Tune cause I paid good money for performance and now it seems to be a paper weight on my desk.

I would leave the tuning out of the truck for a few hundred miles.
Programs do not degrade.
Parts degrade. Gaskets go bad. EGR valves, 02 sensors, cats get clogged up
When you reinstall the tuning, tune it and then do a battery proceedure aftwards.
Remove the positive battery terminal and turn headlights on and foot on the brake to reset the PCM.
Is there any other modifications you are leaving out on telling us?
Are they long tube headers?
Ron

funny how you blame everything on my truck. I replace all that has gone bad. Note theres is no problem codes at all the truck is running 100% so tuning is the problem. Just accept the fact that there's a problem from your side. I Have done all the diagnostic and done all computer test. I seen many post regarding the same issue on the 4.7 so don't sit there saying its from my side. I have receipts of all that have been replaced new on my truck. the truck is running at its best without the tune. When you tune it with SC it knocks big time so it's a AF lean and plus you dont feel horsepower you feel lag like if i'm hauling. I heard you say wait it out a couple of 1000 miles this is bull. I had the economy tune on my truck before the last update for 12,000 mile and no knocking and now I do. Do your research on what's happening cause us 4.7 guys don't like getting hustle out of money and more when it's hundreds and we don't see results

Try to use the timing adjustment in advanced features to back the engine timing down some.
If that does not work then as I have said before that the throttle body will not work with the tuning. I wouldhave to be put back to the stock one.

Ron I have Just Tried the Timing Feature and I did it little by little and nothing still. Stock Tune still is working without knock but all SC tunes does Knock.
My Headers and Exhaust is 100% stock not has been Remove or upgraded The CAT has been Replaced by the dealer and so was the O2 sensors.
My truck did not Come with EGR from Factory.
What other Suggestions do you recommend I really want my Truck to have Performance

Ok, alot of things here do not add up/
1. You adjust the timing and it does not change anything.
2. You are having degrading performance. {Programs do not degrade}
3. New Motor, and new everything. But you have replaced, plugs, coil and wires after installing a new motor, just over a year ago.
4. Running a AFR guage in a daily driver.
Is there more I should know about?
I will have the calibrator verify the tuning. With no one else with a Lean issue on the Dodge products, we may have other issues going on.
Ron

Case# 80661
I have sent this to the calibrator to sort this out.
We are not going to be able to adjust the tuning, we are going to compare your calibration to the hundreds of calibrations for the 4.7L to see if there is anything different.
Ron

Good morning Ron,
On my My mother Life I'm Telling you the Truth. If you have any shop's in the Miami Area I would be Happy to go and get it inspected so they can call you to Confirm that all I have listed is the Truth. My AFR gauge is part of my designing of the interior and Exterior I'm giving my Truck the SRT 10 look and the AFR is a great tool to keep an eye on AFR for upgrading Performance on any Vehicle you should now that. If it was not for my AFR I would not confirm a Lean Problem. I don't know how much more can I say to prove that. I connected the Tuner to my PC and updated the Firmware. Now that I did that Check my Tuner Flash Paq 3865#1465247. Ron I have nothing to gain giving false information I already Paid for the product. I want my tuner to do what it suppose to do and it's doing the opposite. I have been driving my truck for a couple of days with the factory tune and there is no pinging on part throttle and WOT. My truck has new coil Packs, Sensor (Crank,Cam,Map,IAT ,Water Temp,Oil Pressure) the Spark Plugs are New Autolite 5224 which looks clean and barely used due the lean issue. The Fuel Injector Cleaned and flow Tested. Fuel Pressure Checked 49.2 psi so the Pump is working perfect. The Water Pump and Oil Pump is new. The engine temp is always 189 to 195 degrees with the Electric Fan and new Radiator. New 265/60/R17 Wheels and tires The Engine has everything New internals with New Gaskets. Intake Sensor Temp reads between 98 to 103. I got receipts to everything since 2002 that I done to the truck. The truck has not been lifted or lowered or I have not added any thing that makes it heavier.
