Hello, I was just wondering if updates within the past few months could be causing computer to throw error code p0443. I had my truck to the garage and he is aware of the code. He checked the vacuum lines and the voltage going to the EVAP purge valve and it all seems fine. He said it is an issue with the computer not opening/closing the valve at the right time. I didn't have the CEL until I updated my tuner around a month or two ago.

I have a 2000 Dodge Ram 1500 Sport with a 5.9L. I am running the 87 tune on my SC3865.

Could you please look into any recent changes in the programming that could have caused this issue?

I just want to make sure it is not this before i buy a ~$500 PCM.

Thank you!

Possible causes:
The purge solenoid has failed
The canister is plugged and not working properly

Possible Solutions
Inspect the EVAP system for cuts/holes in tubes/hoses
Inspect for damaged or disconnected hoses around the Evap purge solenoid
Check and/or replace the sensor
Check and/or replace the purge valve
Have a professional use a smoke machine to detect leaks

We do not make any changes to the fuel system, except for changing the air fuel ratio.
I would take the tuning out for a few weeks, and I am positive that this will come up on its own with no tuning.

I would not think you are anywhere close to replacing the PCM.

I would recommend a google search for this code.
Search ( p0443 dodge ram)
