Ron;
I have a 3815 ser number 1330896. Over the last few months I have been testing the tunes. In all tunes and stock I use 91 octane. I drive 800+ weekly on the same route using the same driving style for three tanks of gas for each tune. I have found that in all three tunes the mileages are worst than stock. I was not expecting big gains but I thought there would be a little mpg gain over stock especially in Perf. I also have not experienced any noticeable gain in power over stock in perf tune. I have seen that the truck stays in gear longer but the shifts are not smooth. When tuning all acc are off and the unit has been updated. Also, I am not sure if there should be, but there is no quick tune option on the unit. Could there be a problem with my flashpaq?
tks
Bill

What is the year, make and model of the truck?

Is it all stock? Bigger tires?

How long have you had the tuning?

I see where you updated it lately, when you reinstall the tuning I would select "stock" on the trans options, to get the shifts like it is stock.

On the superchips trans tuning, it is a perf tune to the trans. Higher shift points.

Ron

The programmer is a perf tuner, with the after thought of adding a mileage tune.

You would have to drive very very conservitive for it to work. I personally recommend the 87 tune for the price vs. possible mileage, and set the shifts set at the stock setting.

thanks Ron, I will try the 87 tune again. I do not have the trans option and I did not see where I could order it online when I went into the update today, the only thing available that wasnt loaded was for the vin loc, so I tuned the truck to 87 tune with the SC shift tuning. How can I get the trans tune options and will it make much difference?

The advanced trans package is not available for this model tuner. Only the newer 5 &H tuners.

The program should have a SC and a stock option in the options.
