Since gas prices are well on the rise and over 4 bucks a gallon i tried the mileage xs tune. I have an 08 dakota crew cab 4.7. I had the 93 tune and because of the price of gas I gave XS a shot...ummm to say the least I went to 91 tune. With the XS it made my dakota feel sluggish and at times I had to get on the throttle to get it going. To be honest, even though the 91 gas is slightly more expensive, because the performance tune gives it more get up and go, I'm not on the gas as hard and actually have about a 1-2 mpg better difference with the performance tune. IMO just stick with a performance tune whether it be 89 or higher!

i did pretty extensive testing on all the tunes and in my case the XS tune offered the worst mileage, even worse than stock. the perf 91 was the best by about .6 over stock.

I do not like the way the throttle is setup on the MXS tune either.

It will make someone that is not expecting it, to us the throttle more to to the job.

I recommend the 87 or 91 tunes, more power, less into the throttle to achieve the same speeds.
