Is it possible to use the 3950 on a 2001 Dodge (* with Auto Trans? If it is not supposed to work will it cause damage if it was installed already on the truck?

3950's will work on the older trucks, as long as the tuner does not have a "white" plug in the opening on the bottom of the tuner.

But if it has already been tuned then you are fine.
