When I loaded the perf tune the electric fan runs all the time, the only problem is it is only on the a/c condenser not the rad. is that how it is susposed to work?

No, we do not adjust the fan control with our tuning.

Ron You do something to the condensor fan on the Rams. My 06 4.7 condensor fan started running the moment I put the 91 octane tune on it and has run with the truck up to temp ever since. I found at the time take Superchips off and the fan stops whenever the A/C is turned off, whenever you put it on, it starts as soon as you put it on.

Make sure that ALL accessories off in the truck at the time of tuning. If you have any after market items like amps or remote starts, need to be disabled during the tuning process.

Ive had this same problem with my 2010 4.7L. I called tech support and they haven't really been much help so far (but I have faith! I think superchips has good tech support, they just need to pull through here!). In stock mode the efan comes on around 205deg, with the tune I think it comes on around 120deg. I went into advanced options and it shows the on temp for low and med speeds as 118 as stock....I followed directions during tuning and all accessories(auto lights too) were off and its all stock. I definitely think there is a glitch....I haven't tried any other tunes other than 93 performance.

Its either a glitch or intentional. My truck has no additional electrical components installed other than the Flex-a-lite e-fan and I programmed per the instructions on 2 different PCMs with the same results. The 06 4.7 PCM on Superchips 91 runs the condensor e-fan anytime the engine is warm, regardless of the position of the a/c switch. None of the other tunes caused the fan to run.

i just bought a cortex 3950 and after the 91 tune my ac fans runs all the time. this is on a 2008 4.7l, other than that the tune made a huge improvement. cortex SN:1538012

I can say without a doubt the calibration does not effect fan operations.
The tuner may… If you go into the advanced options and look at the fan settings it may lower the fan temp just by VEIWING it. Raise the lower fan values up to around 170-180 instead of the default value from the tuner of 118.

OK, but it even does it if I just use the quicktune feature. Right now I have low set around 200 and medium at 205, I was concerned with burning up the fan with it running constantly, but I guess that's not really an issue? I'll put the low at about 170 and leave medium at 205 for now.
