Ron, I was wondering what the actual gains are for my truck. I've read various posts that say different gains and have also called and have gotten discrepancies each time. I've only run the 87 octane tune thus far and am very happy with it, but just wondering if its worth trying the performance tune. Any input would be much appreciated.

Thanks

91 perf=37hp and 50ftlbs
91 tow=32hp and 41ftlbs
87= 38hp and 57ftlbs of torque at the wheels

I don't mess with my Cortex much, simply put it on 87 and go. But the figures you provided above seem odd.

Why would the 87 bring home more hp/ft-lbs than the 91 performance? I'd assume a 91 performance setting would provide better figures. Let me know if I'm missing something here.

He gave me the same thing for my 07 Expedition. More power with 87 than 91 octane. I did some runs last summer with DAQ and it was quicker with the 87 octane program.
