does anyone have a better than pre-set(1950 CORTEX) option for perf. and tranny shift points... to be perfectly honest its my daily driver with the execption I tow a car trailer pulling anywhere from 6,000-10,000lbs a couple times a week? 87 Vs 91 octane settings ANYONE??? Dont see anything on the Triton V10 in the forums I set it to 91 perf. mode and got belt squeeeeelll...changed tire size and squeelll stopped and perf. was worth paying for thus far...But hard to tell making a couple quick passes at 1-am if you know what I mean. Any and all input on this motor will be greatly appreciated

Welcome to Superchip's forum!!

Whenever you are towing with the beast, you need to be on the TOW mode with 91 or better octane fuel in the tank.

Have fun!!

Ron

Does the truck have any after market upgrades?
How many miles have we put on the 91 octane tune? How much 93 was in the tank?
CAI, exhaust?

This being an 2005, does it have the 3 valve motor?

Champions are stock and .054 is correct.

Does the truck have any light throttle issues stock? Bucking?

The computer will be learning up to 75 miles after retuning.

No bucking stock it runs like a beast stock the major problem I have stock is tranny searching for gears on hills when towing. Was going to have a shift kit put in but with the tunes the tranny is shifting a lot tighter and I was told this would not work on my tranny but it offers the manual shift option in my tune... does that mean its all to the good in playing with the tranny???

It will ignore the tranny if you choose the manual option.

You can go into advanced tune, and adjust the shift firmness and shift points.

The belt is squeaking because the shifts are firm, and the belt is slipping. Could be tentioner (Of coarse)
