I have a 2003 2500hd chevy duramax and i was looking at the superchips flashpaq. i am completely new to chips and pretty much have no idea on how to use one so any help would be very much appriciated.

Also will a chip make it smoke? i dont want a ton but just enough to get noticed.

Welcome to Superchip's forum!!!

Our products are not know to be smokey, it will puff a little more than stock. Because we are giving it more fuel to make the power.

Programmers are easy to use. They plug into the truck through the diagnostic power and download the factory software and saves it in the tuner. Then allowing you to select a power level based on your needs.

ok thanks. are the power levels already set and you just pick one or do you make your custom tune?

Also my duramax has a module going bad and every once in a while when you start the truck none of the dash lights or gauges come on. it is only temporary and they will all come on after a minute or so but it is a $500 fix. will this effect the superchip?

hard to say.

I have seen it be a problem, and I have seen it not be a problem.
I would verify that the gauges are working prior to trying the upload, and then tune it.

They are preset, and their is a place you can make adjustments to them.

I forgot to ask something else, the original owner of my truck put new injectors in it because of the problem with the old ones. I have no idea what kind he put in it but i am asuming they are a little bit bigger than the stock ones because the truck will make a little cloud of smoke when accelerating hard. I would like to know if the injectors will cause a problem with the chip because they are not stock.

If the truck runs fine on stock with no stumbling, then I would say you should be fine with the tuning.
