Ron,

I'm having an issue with my cortex, serial #1508567

Took my Durango last week to the dealer with the stock tuning. Got the car back today.

Two days ago, I updated the cortex.

Today when I plugged the cortex into the Durango, it downloaded the stock file then displayed one message: "Vehicle Calibration Not on File. Update Programmer Online."

Already tried 3 times, but each time when the pc is updating the file on the server, the cortex displays "USB Port Time Out" then goes into Boot Loader Mode.

Please help.

Thanks,
Ricardo

A time out is due to a loss in connection with our server.

Usually caused by internet bandwith traffic, PC securities, anti virus programs, and internet connections.

I will check on the update, to see if we got the read.

Thanks Ron!

What is the procedure now? Shall I wait until you notify me or shall I plug the tuner on my pc and check online?

You are in a holding pattern, until we contact you to update for the tune.

Ron,

Received one mail today from Robert, asking to update the programmer and to inform him when done.

So, I plugged the programmer into my pc, it has been updated and then it started to upload my vehicle data into my pc.

It took 4 minutes to complete the red bar. After that, it started the internet upload. After 1 minute my programmer will display the "USB Port Time Out" and I get this screen.

I already tried it on 3 different computers but I get the same result. If you got the read of my vehicle a couple of days back, how come it's still trying to upload it?

Honestly, I could not tell you why the PC is timing out.

Was it the same time of day? Their could have been alot of traffic on your connection.

Ron,

From what I'm understanding, first the programmer uploads the data into my pc than the pc will upload the data to your server. Right?

The first step takes around 4 minutes. The programmer will only time out when the pc starts to upload the data into your server.

Since you have received the data, can you program your server to stop my tuner from uploading the data? It seems that my tuner is stuck in a loop.

I forgot to mention that after the update that Robert asked me to do on the programmer, I plugged it on my car and it still displayed the same message : "Vehicle Calibration Not on File. Update Programmer Online."

Ok
"I'm in Saudi Arabia using WiMax internet connection. Since last week that this problem started"

Customers in that country have a hard time to get a good connection.

wireless, or air card, via satellite, tend to lose communications with our server, thus making it advisable to have a hard wire connection to high speed internet, with windows and any other firewalls, as well as anti-virus software temporarily disabled, during the update session. Otherwise we will continue to have a problem connecting, and communicating with server.

So I have no choice but to ship the programmer to you and then you'll send it back to me fully updated  :(

Can you please send me your address?

Thanks

If you do not have a hard connection or another PC on another network, or a dealer in your area can not update it for you. Then you may need to send it back.

Ron,

I've tried on 3 PC's and 3 different internet connections.
I'll try to use a DSL tomorrow.

Anyway, can you send me your address by pm? Just in case...

Thanks
