I just purchased a new Superchips for my 2009 JK last week. I installed the 87 tune and it works great. After VIN locking, I connected it online to get any new updates, but it was already up-to-date.

Today I was playing around with the different sensor displays such as speed, rpm, air temperature, etc. When I select the tranny temp, I do not get a value like I do with the others. How do I get the tranny temp value to show? I know some of the other aftermarket gauges that read the PCM data can display it for my vehicle, so I expect it should be displaying.

Thanks.

Welcome to Superchip's forum!!

We have it on the bill to add when we upgrade the DAQ software. I do not have a expected date.

Just checking in to see if this has been updated yet. I still haven't had my Jeep's computer flashed yet to add the "idiot" light as the last time I attmpeted to have it done., the dealer couldn't get it to install....go figure.

Anyway, with a recent post on another forum talking about a guys 2009 Rubi burning to the ground and all the other posts popping up about similar stories, I am looking for another (better) way of monitoring my tranny fluid temp, especially off-road.

Hoping this has been added but I rarely connect my flashpaq to my PC since I have been running the 93 tune for some time now with no need to change.

I think youd be suprised how popular this feature would be.

I also would like to see this feature enabled. I live in Texas and some days I am pulling my wakeboard boat thats at the limit of my towing capacity when it is 100+ outside. Or when we I am wheeling in the river bottoms here when it is again 100+ out. I would love to be able to keep an eye on my tans temp. I am happy with the tuner but if I would have done more research and found one that would tune/read trans temp I would have bout that product. I just think it would add value to your product and help sales. Adding content of value to the Jeep tuner like Trans Temp is much more important to a Jeep person then quarter mile times.

Buy Aeroforce Interceptor gauge , it works very good and you don't have to hide it

How hard can this be? Mabye sell it as an addon so you can make a few bucks, Id pay for this feature and Im sure others would as well. Not realy interested in buying another brand even though Flashpaq seems like the only one that lacks this feature! At some point you may just have to cut your losses and move on.

Any way we can get a status report on this? This is obviously highly important to those running automatics.

Seems like this question was asked and not answered over a month ago.
Can you guys either give a date or try some straight talk and say it isnt ever going to happen?
Sick of waiting on this... especially when other products have it as a standard feature.
So if you are not going to enable this feature just say so and we can move on to some other solution...

Some say this will never happen but Superchips just don't want to come out and confirm this.

We only have a limited number of items which we can display. 20 is the limit, we hit this a while ago. We wrote firmware that will allow the customer to view Tranny Temp, but they have to call in for it, as a one shot, as I’m deleting another measurable PID and replacing it with Trans Oil Temp.

In other words,
If you would like to add this to your tuner, we will have to make a special program that will exchange one of the selections of PIDS to replace it with this option.

Post up your tuners serial number and I will have them make a tune for you. Typically this will have to be reset to your tuner everytime you update it. Once you get it, you would not update your tuner unless you have too, and we will reset it up afterwards.

Ron
