I have a 2002 F-150 with around 97000. Its the 5.4 engine. The only aftermarket item I have for performance is dual exhaust. Would you reccomend the cortex or flaspaq? I would like to gain more mpg as well as HP and TQ. I do tow a trailer once or twice a week during hunting season. I am looking to improve my fuel economy. If you have any tips please let me know thanks.

Tyler

Welcome to Superchip's forum!!!

I would recommend the flashpaq tuner.

The two tuners will give the same power and options.

What grade of fuel do you run?
How much do you tow?

Generally 85. The weight changes but nothin to heavy. It's a 10 ft enclosed trailer with hunting decoys in it.

E-85?

We have not tested our product with this fuel.

I can only recommend to use 87 or 91 or better with the tuning.

The trailer should be fine on the 87 octane tune.

87 would not be a problem with the programer. Will I have any mileage gains with the super chip?

87 will be fine.

Or mileage tune is based off of 87 octane.

When we tested the tuning we saw a 10% gain in mileage on open road constant throttle speed driving, with cruise on at the speed limits.
