I am enjoying the 93 performance tune for my G8GT--great work superchips.

I understand superchips is working on CAI specific tunes, and I have a rotofab CAI on my G8. Any idea when the rotofab 93 tune will be released for the G8GT?

Thank you--I think a lot of folks are anxious for this one to come out!

Outstanding job on the Rotofab tune for the G8GT. Great power and mileage, and the car just runs like a dream. Thank you.

When you update.

Update the tuner and the packages will be offered at the end of the session.

Quick question about "cai specific" tunes... Got a buddy of mine with a G8, and he just threw in a CAI... If you need to retune, just because the intake pipe is a touch larger... then what is your mass airflow sensor doing then?? Sleeping? That's it's entire job in life. If it was alive and working, and there was any increase in flow, it tells the pcm what's goin' on, and it makes its necessary adjustments... If you need a new tune for that, then what do you do when you floor it with the stock intake tube on? How does it adjust then? The only thing I can think of, is that GM used the wrong maf sensor, with too small of a air metering threshold on it, and it's already almost to it's limit with the stock stuff on it, requiring a tune, to increase it's measuring ability. but I've never seen that, as the ZO6 maf works with an engine 9 times the size of the G8... it I'm lost. Please advise.

Some volume but more velocity to the air.
The MAF and throttle body is the bottle neck.
With the CAI you are lessening the restriction and increasing the velocity of the air.
The AFR on these cars are close from factory, so with the combo, we had to optimize it with the tuning.

The less restriction, the higher the velocity? Which has higher water velocity, the water flowing out of your hose, with your thumb over it, or just flowing straight out.

The headers on my car are stock. They have the smallest tubes around. When people go and start replacing headers on their cars, with the newer, freer flowing models, they always come back, reporting that their turbo doesnt spool as quick.... That's because when you enlarge the tubes on the headers, the exhaust speed coming out of the engine, DECREASES, thus screwing with the spoolup of the turbo. I'm still lost. Please advise.
And, why isn't the cars pcm just relearning that calibration by itself anyway? Does it not work that way?
