I downloaded a new version in my flashpaq for 2005 powerstroke, it seems that with the new program my converter doesn't lock-up at highway speeds. Is that better or worse on my tranny?

Which tune are we talking about? MXS? Perf? tow?
MXS has a different shift pattern.

the programmer is an 1805 and it has performance, towing, and towperformance. i tried it on towing and tow performance and no lock-up. I say that because before the download when you were on the highway with cruise set and you tapped the brakes or turned cruise off I could feel the converter unlock. I pull a trailer and really feel the old program was better on tranny, what do you think? I downloaded the milage tune but it doesn't come up as an option on my flashpaq. What is the power gain of the three settings i have? Thanks R.T.

2005 6.0L perf=105hp and 160ftlbs tow perf=97hp and 145ftlbs towsafe=59hp and 92ftlbs of torque to the wheels
I will check with the calibrators on if and what the changes to the trans are. Did the truck go back to a dealer prior to doing this update? Ron

no it hasn't been to the dealer in 10,000 miles. Do you know how the milage download works? should i have a new choice on the screen of programs to download for the milage? I'm really more concerned about the converter, your help is appreciated. R. T.

Could you post the tuners serial number?

If it is something that worries you we can change the tuning.
My calibrator says that it is a personal preference.
"It should act the same as stock which is geared for durability. To me its more of a personal preference so I will change it if he wants it how it was."
