 Post subject: Error code E-6D

I recently purchased a superchips 2815 model for my 07 chevy classic 5.3, and when i went out today to try it, i recieved a message after it downloaded my stock settings and asked me to turn my truck to the on position (not running). It said update tuner at flashpaq then error code E-6D? I went to flashpaq.com and tried to download updates, but it says there are no updates available at this time. Is this chip no good for my vehicle? What should i do? Thanks.

See the other post... I found a wire removed from my connector (by Ford) to keep me from uploading any new tunes....

Working on a resolution now.

We are not seeing this issue across the board.
I have never heard of a issue like this to specifically trying to prevent tuning.

I found the slot for the purple wire.

I looked closely with a flashlight and found the small tiny prick the tool made from the tech removing the wire.

I re-inserted it... and wha-la!! No more errors.

I also found out that different model, and year 6.0 PSDs have different wires in different positions on the plug. :cry:

... just got to be smarter than the Ford Techs! :wink:

I believe the message that you were given said something to the effect that the files are being written and they will email you back when done??
This process usually will take about a week. We will email you a message to update the tuner at that time and then it will work.

*E-6d means that the software in your truck is newer than our database and we had to write programs for the new files.*
