I have a 2007 6.6L LMM and a 2808 tuner.
Has anyone experienced where you stop and start to put it in park or reverse and hear a clank in the transmission. I put it back to stock and it has not done it since. Any ideas about what this is or if someone else is having the same issue.

Thanks

Well with the Allison transmissions we do not have any control over the trans. Is the idle rpms high at that point? Also this has not been a complaint that I have heard of either.

no rpms are not up. Maybe I will take it in and have it checked since your saying the chip does not affect the transmission.

Thanks for the reply

We have the same engine and trans you have. We have the same clank just once in a while, not all the time. I haven't put it back to stock yet but if you find out anything could you let me know

I just got my truck back from the dealer. According to them on this model 2500 and 3500 this is normal.

my 2006 does it also. I believe it has something to do with the parking pawl in the transmission, It is extra beefy to hold the extra weight capacity these trucks are rated for towing wise. Same type of deal if you park your car facing up a hill without putting the ebrake on first before putting it into park.
