not unless, you have gauges so you can watch your egt's
if they get too hot, you can burn things up

:( I towed on performance mode once...like a dummy I forgot to retune to the "tow mode" I was pulling my gooseneck horse trailer with two horses on board maybe 9000-10000#'s at most...I fryed the drum and band on second gear in about 20 miles without and grades....just 4-lane redlight to redlight driving....and No I wasn't putting the pedal to the floor either, Remember, I had my horses in the trailer....the Dodge dealer wasn't very happy about having to fix it and told me that they "found" a "code" on the computer stating the truck had been programmed....I DID have it back to stock before it was TOWED to the dealer....

i had a 2006 dually 6 spd. i left mine on two pulling 21 round bales. about 1600 to 1800 lbs a piece. truck ran great, never had a problem just returned to performance when i was done. i left it on performance though and pulled 4 round bales on a bumper pull hayking. after about 100 miles of having the programmer on my clutch began to start slipping, only when you really got into it. from 5th to 6th was the worst. anyone ever have any problems like this??
