Ron,
Can we purchase the mileage program that has been created for the 5.9 (*, for our flashpag 3805? I see you can upgrade the mileage tuner to a performance tuner for an additional cost. It would be nice if it could be done in the opposite, I am willing to pay extra for it.

whats wrong Ron..... you cant answer a little question as direct as this one? this is one of the reasons I got sick of this forum. Be a man and tell your company to get with the program. All these updates are promised, and you never deliver. same old, same old!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

not to be the devils advocate but...
the question posed has no answer.
there is no mileage tune. the poster is referring to the tirepaq. which changes the tire size. does nothing for mileage except fixes your speedo which in turn fixes your mileage count.
the poster is however under the strange impression that it has a tune for mileage improvements in it. which is not the case.
the Flashpaq by the way does contain the same programming as the Tirepaq. but also includes the vehicle programming and not just the tire adjustment
-----
as a side note. true we were told we would get programs that never emerged. Superchips has since been going with the "we will not destroy your truck" kick. meaning unlike the bulleydog and smarty they are not going to release a general tune that can and will destroy a stock truck.
this is what the industry calls "safe tuning". your local dodge dealership will be much more forgiving with you if you use superchips over some of the others.
I personally wish we would have gotten the custom tuning options.
i could also use the high beam with foglight on option. which is offered by other tuners.

i did talk to someone at superchips once.
they did say they would be able to make a custom tune. but that it would be paid for by you. as in all the research and development.
i would assume they would make you anything you want. if you call them and tell them what you have done with the truck and what your going to do. they can make you whatever you need.
or at least they could last time i called anyway.

The Mileage tune for these products are the perf tune that you already have in your flashpaq. The mileage programmer is a single tune, no towing, al out driving.

Just a side note here. Running fog lamps while the highbeams are on is illegal in several states.

Ok
News flash I am wrong with my previous statement as the tunes are the perf tune. In fact we have been told that the files are actually real work tested and made specifically for mileage.
There is in some tunes, lower throttle responce, quicker shifting into O/D.
We have really used some repeatable tests that have made real gains.
Not all vehicles will have a mileage program assinged to it. The files are for vehicles that we have made real gains in mileage.
I will be making a indepth write up on the specs, in another thread.
Ron

idntdrv55,
just a note regarding your side note.
In Some States running a programmer is illegal.
that does not mean the option that is available by nearly every other major tuning company should be disregarded.
simply because in some states it might not be legal to use the option. by that ideal superchips should not release any tunes that do not meet all legal aspects of every state.
many states have things that are illegal but in the neighboring state they are legal. so the responsibility rests on the consumer rather then the manufacture to use within the limitation of the law.
the old, "well, if its illegal it shouldn't be available to buy" DOES NOT FLY IN COURT.
SONY ENt. makes a pair of head phones. consumer x uses them illegally to listen to music while driving his car. (headphones while driving illegal, i have seen many people do this, you probably have too.) so since in state 6 this is an illegal act. Should sony discontinue to make headphones since in 1 state they could be used illegally by a consumer?
