installed an AFE stage 2 kit on my (* last week and the noticable differences were towfold:
1) can hear the turbo MUCH more
2) down low pickup increase a bit
I work in the oilfield in west texas and the main reason for purchase was that I was going through air cleaners like crazy with the rough conditions I put my (* through...overall I am pleased though..

I installed a 4" piece of flex pipe in the bottom of my airbox & ran it down forward of RH wheel well and installed 4" elbow. I also installed performance air filter. I can tell the engine is more responsive but at high speed I suspect the ECM adds fuel to adjust for all the air I am packing into engine. EGT cools down alot faster tho when pedal is released.

Not true!
It is all relative to boost pressure, which is already peaked!
