I sent my superchips in for an update because I had issues with the performance tune and was hoiping an update would solve it. When I got it back it would not load, I was told that the tuner had newer software then the truck and to get the newest software loaded by the dealer. I did that and it was a waste of time as it still didn't work. I still got the E-7A code and it says update the tuner. I sent it back in to superchips and then got it back saying it passed all tests. It still does not work I get E-7A when reading stock. I don't understand why an update has made this thing useless. I don't have a PC, only a Mac and no I don't have one I can borrow, that is why I send it in. Any ideas?

What is the tuners serial number?

I can check on this one for you.

Sorry about the double post. It is a 3805 and the serial is 1207981. What is the difference between this and the 3855? I really want this thing to work again but have lost faith that it is possible with my truck. It had been tested there and is passing.

Without a update my hands are tyed.

If you want to email me directly I can recommend a dealer in your area that could possibily help you with the update.

I've already sent it to superchips twice to be updated and this is where I am now. I should have left it alone and not wanted to update it. Let me know of someone here that can do it and I will try that.

Its this what I can do, or sending it to us again.

You have to know someone with a PC, 75% of the country uses PC's.

Most people I know have a Mac, in this area they are very big. The ones I know with a PC I am not close with and don't feel right asking them to download stuff onto their computer. I guess I'll send it back in. I do not feel it is an update issue since it has been updated twice this month. I think it was some how damaged and your testing is not picking up on it.

Why don't we try to locate a dealer of ours in your area to try to get this updated.
We can recommend one or you can look at the dealer locator on the website.

Your file in the truck may not be supported and may need to be written by a calibrator.

I called the tech line and talked to a guy named Travis. Travis knew his stuff. He looked at what had been done and said it was programmed wrong. He told me to send it directly to him and he would fix it. I got it back and it works great on Tow mode. I haven't tried performance yet. I thought there was an economy mode on the newer updates on the 3805, I just have tow and performance. I'm not complaining, just curious

What year is your truck?

I always recommend to use the Perf mode for best mileage and power.

Travis made it work on my truck but performance has the surge still. I don't want to hear there is something wrong with my truck since I had this tuner when the truck was new and other tuners don't do it plus I see the 3805 is very common in surging on perfomance but tow works fine. Is the 3855 having the issue?

I have not heard of surging on the trucks in years.

How many miles are on the truck?

What kind of modifications are done to the truck?
