After recently updating my Superchips 3855 my unit began freezing up within 5 miles of driving! Before the update I could leave my unit plugged in and simply touch a &H to turn it on to bring the data screen up and watch my four choices: load, CAT 2 temps etc..

I've tried updating the unit again....still freezes up.

TIA

Same deal is happening to me. Prior to update data screen worked great, just had to wake up the programmer with one key touch and them I'm monitoring CAT temp amoung other useable information.

Now with my latest update data screen freezes and then gives communication error if you try to reconnect. Also my 'power setting' screen says 'not supported' but it used to work.

Sounds like we need alittle more Superchip code tweaking since this J35 Dodge flash.
Todd

Ron mine is 1442012, the engineers just recently made some changes for me a couple of weeks ago related to the J35. That's when this 'freezing up' started.
Thanks for your help.
Todd

Just to ask.

Both trucks are tuned, correct?

Ron,
I've tried with my truck tuned to Mileage and back to Stock in order to keep my screen from freezing up, neither kept it from freezing.

I've updated my tuner repeatedly since posting my orginal question. My serial number is 1481577. Currently my truck is at the dealer getting it's EGR and EGR cooler replaced and cleaned. They claim that nothing is wrong with the DPF or turbo. My CEL kept coming on (even after repeated code clearing with my Flashpaq 3855): Codes P0401, P2453 and finally code P2002.

New question: I am correct in understanding that my tuner does not interfer with my regeneration process whether tuned or on stock?

Thanks

The tuning is not going to change the DPF processes.

As for the data issue, we are going to fix this in the next firmware release. I will let you know when that is available.

Ron

What is your tuners serial number?

Has it ever worked properly?

Ron

Ron mine is 1442012, and yes it used to work perfectly prior to the last update for the new Dodge flash. I've updateded the tuner a couple of time since- still having the data screen freezing issue. It's all outlined above in this thread. Thanks,
Todd
