We have completed our files for the overboost issues on the 6.4L motors.
If you are experiencing a overboost condition after the recent updates to the truck.
Please update the tuner and try out the new tuning.

Ron That's amazing! And only 4 days before the replacement flash from Ford came out! Any news on whether or not Superchips owners will need to wait months for updates again, or should the new Superchips tunes work with the update from Ford that was released Friday 5/20?

We are fixing what Ford company has done to your truck.
It takes some time to make the product work with the new changes from dealer.
We work hard at making the performance product safe with the detuning that Ford has done to your trucks.

Quoting the calibrators:
"They should be fine, they just came out with new calibrations for the same strategy they released for this overboost thing. The only thing they might experience is a needs update and I can add it and they will be fine."

Would you recommend updating superchip 1808 to the newer files if we haven't had Ford
update our trucks to the newer flash. If we do update are we still able to get the same
performance and fuel economy.

Dale Unless you have the new reflash to the truck, the new update will not do anything to your current programing. You will have the same power and mileage. You mentioned that the latest tunes for the 1856 tuner "should be Ok" with the
5-11-17 flash from Ford. The 5-11-17 flash is the one Ford came out with to fix their "over boost " issue with flash 11B23
Do you have any ACTUAL experience with the latest 1856 tunes and the 5-11-17 flash from Ford?
On another note the 1856 tuner worked wonders on the over boost issue after Ford did their manitory flash to 11B23....thanks for all your work on that!

I have an 09 6.4 and updated cortex when this update came out back in June. I have not tried to tune since then until today as I had engine problems and Ford did a whole engine replacement because of the problem. I ran it 10,000 miles and now when I hook up the tuner it trys to save the files and says that stock tune has changed and gives me a T-43 error and to contact you guys. Is this because of new engine or being the first time the tuner was connected since Ford did the recalibration?
Please advise

Ford reprogrammed the trucks computer when it was repaired. But they only reprogrammed the engine computer but not the transmission program.
T-43 is vehicles trans programming is not stock.
We will create a new program to fix this issue for you.
Update the tuner and contact one of our techs, with the tuners serial number and we will send it to the engineers. This will take a few days to build.
