Recently traded my 04' 1500 for a 07' 2500. I have a 3815 tuner and was wondering if there was going to be an update for the 07' Hemi. :?:

Yes there will be.
I would update the tuner, then try to program the truck.
If you get a E-6d error. Then you would need to go through the update process again. So we can get the information from the new vehicle program. This will help us to ge the files faster for the 2007's.

If it programs then you are good to go.
If you get any other errors please post them.
Ron

Are you saying to try with the program that is there now or wait for an 07' update? I found a huge difference in the drivability of my 04' in all modes. I would really like to get that in the 07' too. Just wish there could be more ponies to be had. (like in the diesels).

If I understand correctly, if the OEM calibration does not match a database tune, then it will not upload to your PCM ( and you get an error code). Then the OEM cal is uploaded to Superchips, and they work their magic on it. So there is no harm from seeing if your cal is already supported. Some calibrations are carry-over, some change every week.
Many cals are the same, but some areas are different in the "hand-shake" area for communications to other modules in the vehicle. So once that is addressed, the actual fuel and ignition maps are the same.

It looks like that the 2007 guys will have to wait until the firmware is made so that they can communicate.
Sorry
we tried!!
