Hi, I've heard the superchips canned tune (91) will support the xfi 260h cam with a 113 degree lobe seperation angle. Would like to do a swap next week after my locker and gears. Is that the max you would recomend for superchips tunes, or could I go to the xfi 268 with 114 degrees of lobe seperation?
Thanks, Brian

Ron, looks like comp cams isn't making cams for the 4th gen rams yet, it'll be a couple of months. Might check on the inertia eagle crazy jay, and eagle baby spartain cams though... I believe they are the only cams availible for the gen4 rams. It'd be sweet If they worked with the superchips tunes.

This would be something we have not tested. Nor can we recommend it.
I would recommend to visit a Dodge specific website, like Dodgetalk, or Hemitruckclub to see what works with the tuning.

Brian:
It's pretty unlikely that any cam more aggressive than the XFI 260 (not yet available) will work on the SC tuning any better than stock tuning, maybe worse actually.
Go for headers next as that will work fine with the SC tunes.
When you get the cam you will likely need a new tuner and custom tuning. However, although the new tuner is going to cost you a bit, there are lots of available tunes and paid support that will make it run absolutely great.
Im in the same boat as you. I wish SC had more tuning ability, but it's just not that kind of product.
Jeff
