I have recently added JBA catback headers. The truck runs great and seems fine and no codes.
I will soon add the very mild Competition Cams XFI 260. It has a smooth idle and reported gains of 31HP/20ft-lb.
I’m pretty certain the fuel trims will compensate for these mods during part throttle closed loop operation. However, at full throttle operation which is open loop, speed density, I would bet it is going to start running lean, since the electronics can’t measure air flow and will have no idea that airflow is above the speed density table for the stock cam and exhaust manifolds.
Is there any device or method to richen up the HEMI speed density system at full throttle? I.E. boost fuel pressure, etc?
Can Superchips richen up my tune? It would be great to have a slider to add or subtract fuel from the tunes. I could monitor my WOT using a wideband O2 for tuning. Or is it time to find a new tuning solution?
FYI-on the 91 tune right now
