My 3865 flashpaq will not updat online after creating new user account and downloading new installer which superchips told me to do. I did what you said, downloaded new installer, created a new account. I filled in all the information requested. When trying to update flashpaq, I get a K103 "save keys to server" error and a "ping" error. My programmer worked fine untill I did what you instructed me to do. Now what?

We are having a issue with Dodge/jeep tuners with the updates.

Can you post up the tuners serial number so I can log this issue.

We should have it fixed this week.

Ron

I have sent this over to software.

If you have just purchased the tuner I will extend your trial period from the day you get the tuning installed into the vehicle.

I'm beginning to be not very happy about this, especially after seeing other posts about same issues. I bought my tuner 2 years ago from Napa. Have used it and gotten updates for it until last week when I attempted to update it before using it. I couldn't log in for some reason, so I e-mailed superchipchips and told them of the problem. They e-mailed back and told me I had to re-register and download the NEW updater because the old updater was no longer in use. I did what I was instructed by superchips and now you tell me "if you recently purchased the tuner" ? Somethings not right about this......its not something with the tuner or something I did, its something you guys instructed me to do. The tuner worked just fine when I put my truck back to stock prior to downloading superchips new installer. Now I sit with a tuner that errors out during your update, afraid to hook it up to my truck. Heres the e-mail reply I received....

We have released new update software which does require new registration and software download.

Please go to www.superchips.com

Click on customers

Then download internet update software

Then click on get the latest windows software here and click on here

Let it install everything it asks you to

That will leave a gray superchips update icon on your desktop

Click on that and click register and register yourself

Once you have done that you will be able to log in and update the tuner.

As long as you reprogram everything including the tire size back to stock it can be used on another vehicle

Tire height is separate from the main tuning

Please reply with previous emails attached as this will help me serve you better.

Thanks, Rich Mckenzie

Well , thought for the hell of it I'd try to update again this morning. Thought it was going to be success as this time it went thru a device firmware read with a circle and red filling in as it completed. Once it completed the read, it came up with a k103 "save keys to server error has occured" Am I wasteing my time or is this issue still being worked on?

It's been 10 days and no fix.

That's not a good sign.

I would say our tuners were bricked from further updates or it would be resolved by now.

Jeff, please see the "Workaround" thread below for a way to update your tuner while we wait for SC to find the fix.

Work around for Key Exchange Error:

Login to Superchips Easy Update.
Connect the tuner. Key Exchange error appears, close Superchips easy update. Click the Start &H, right click My Computer and select Manage then click on Device Manager (Device Manager may be different for OS’s other than XP).

With the tuner plugged in, expand "Universal Serial Bus controllers" and scroll down to "USB Programmer", right click it and select Properties. In the Driver tab select "Uninstall Driver."
You will be asked to reboot your machine. Reboot it and start the Easy Updater software then plug in your tuner. You will see "New Hardware found" and "Installing Drivers."
The Easy Updater should then rescan your tuner and proceed with the update. Again upon the completion of the initial update you will again receive the two Key Exchange Errors.
Not to worry, the tuner did receive the required update and you can ignore the key exchange errors.

We are currently working on the repair to the internet update program.
I will take this down once we have it ironed out.

If this does not work, please contact one of our Tech support agents for a return authorization number to return to the manufacture for a update.

Ron, this is odd. Monday morning , the day before your last reply I again hooked up my flashpaq to try to update. Low and behold it went thru the cycle and updated. Took some time, at least 10 minutes as I remember. I did not try the work around that was mentioned in other threads. The only thing I did was uninstall, then reinstall the updater program on my PC, but that was done about 10 days ago and I still had gotten the key exchange error after doing that. About every 3 or 4 days I would try to update my tuner and get the error, until Mondays attempt which worked. What a quirk, go figure? Not looking forward to the next time I decide or need to update my tuner.
