You are updated, lets verify it in the truck. If it is still there I will get them to look at it.

With the newer software in the tuner, go out and program the truck. Verify you are still having a issue.
Then tell me and I will send it to our calibrators to review.
We will verify with a vehicle and report back on what we find out.
The if we can fix the tune, we will.
Ron

Ok, that's what I did immediately after the tuner was updated on the new software was I went out and retuned the truck on the 91 tune. Nothing seems different, same issues. Please let me know what you find. I am local, and am now wondering if it would be less frustrating for everyone if I drove up to you guys and let you figure out what the problems are at your shop...(however I am not willing to sign off that you are not responsible for any damages as I assume something like this may be involved...)

We do not make our test truck owners sign off liability when we test their trucks. We take full responsibility for our test vehicles.
We give them a rental vehicle, and take full responsibility for the vehicle while it is in our possession.
We have a lead on a local truck that has this issue, so we should be good for a test vehicle..
Thanks
Ron

Ok thank you Ron. I wasn't trying to imply anything bad, I just thought my friend who brought his camaro up there said he had to sign off on that, although he did also tell me you gave him a rental. Just wondering, I may be the local guy that is the lead, as I was also emailing with Ken. Over the past few weeks I have dealt with several people from superchips, including you, Ken, Robert, and one other whose name I don't remember. I believe you are all from different departments. I'm eager to see results!

We will give the engineers a chance to review this, and I will let you guys know what we find out.

You currently have my truck, they say they found the issue and it will be fixed. I'm glad this issue is now being straightened out, and two thumbs up to superchips for accommodating me with an equivalent rental truck...etc...while it's being taken care of.

It's been awhile since I've been on here, but just wanted to post back in case any future readers come across this thread. Superchips has been dealing with me over the past several months and last night I did another update and it fixed the fan issue. It took awhile but the issue is resolved. This problem was with the electric fan settings (even if I did not adjust them), they were at very odd on temperatures for "low, med, and high" even though there is supposed to only be one speed. After the update, the tuner shows N/A for low and med, and 222 for high, which I believe is what stock should be. This was on my 2010 4.7L Ram, I assume all 2008+ 4.7L Rams would be similar. Thanks.

This sure sounds strange necause I have a 3865 that I use on my 2007 5.7 and my AC fan only runs when needed, not all the time.

Quote: This sure sounds strange necause I have a 3865 that I use on my 2007 5.7 and my AC fan only runs when needed, not all the time. Your 2007 has a different fan setup. The 2008+ trucks have an electric fan AND a mechanical fan. The electric fan is not solely for the AC condenser. Chrysler calls it a "hybrid" cooling fan system. The electric fan runs when the AC is on, AND also when the coolant reaches a certain temperature (but basically it doesn't run unless the AC is on because the coolant usually never gets hot enough). The bug with the superchips was that the electric fan was turning on around 118 deg coolant temp, so basically it ran constantly... As far as I know the issue was only with the 4.7L, I don't know about the 5.7L Hemi.
