What does a throttle body spacer do and is it worth it?

If the intake manifold is a WET style then it will make a difference.
If it is a DRY style manifold, then there will be NO difference.
Wet= injectors above the throttle body
Dry= Injectors at the bottom of the runners near head

I have the "0" as 8th digit in Vin, I know there are several different types so where can I go to find out what I have that is different from the other types.

Pop the hood and look where the injectors are in the manifold.
Only older TBI style manifolds are the ones it makes a difference on.
