Im thinking about putting three things in my truck to help performance overall. Those are a Cold air intake, exhaust system, and a chip to remove the Governor and increase HP. Any advice on what i should install first and what brand and product i should install. Or if there are any better things i can do first to increase performance.

We make some decent power on the newer 5.3L's. If you can post up your trucks 8th digit in the VIN from the left. I can be very specific on what our tuning will do.
GM made 4-5 of the 5.3L motors in 2008.
I personally run K&N and flow master mufflers.

08 J 5.3L =
91 perf =25hp and 28ftlbs of torque at the wheels
87 perf= 18.6hp and 17.9ftlbs.

Ok cool, main reason for the chip is to remove the governor but the Hp is a plus. Do you recommend magnaflow or flowmasters exhaust. i really want the one with the best sound.
