tuner said it requires an upgrade. So I upgraded and the truck is a lot slower. How can I get my old program back? I know you guys dropped the pressure so you can stack with the firefly but I don't have one and do not want to stack. I just want my old program back with the pressure added. What can I do?

Here is my string of emails. I wish you could have heard the phone conversation I had this morning when I was told that my warning lights would always come on unless I was running in "stock" mode. I bought this to compensate for oversized tires...and "Stock" mode is "nothing" mode. Now the tuner can't do anything because "my" computer won't accept "your" update software. I have seen dozens of other posts complaining about this (apparently nobody's computers work). I will be trying to return my Flashpaq after work even though I have had it for 49 days. Superchips super-*h. I want a full refund...and now I have to pay my dealer to re-flash my brand new Suburban.

Are you serious? You are kidding right?

Scroll down to my original email. Read the whole thing before asking me another question. Your tuner was "unable to update". You are blaming my computers...as well as EVERYONE ELSE's computers that have tried to update their flashpaq's.

Ok. Have you updated this tuner recently so we can get a good read off
the vehicle?

Thanks

Yes sir, there is a new 6 speed automatic that is available for the
GMT-900 platform vehicles. But, as long as you're being offered the
option, it is available for your vehicle then.

I'm assuming your gear ratio is a 3.73 correct? If you have not swapped
the gears out, just select stock. Do the ABS and brake lights come on if
you select "Stock" as the gear?

Thanks

Ryan,

Mine is a 4 speed. Their website and dealerships don't even know they
offer a 6 speed.

The speedo is correct when "stock" is selected, and it is off when
"3.73" is selected.

Again...the warning lights are my concern, not the speedo.

Actually, they do make a 6 speed auto for the new 3/4 ton GMT-900
platform trucks and some SUV's.

Does the speedometer read correctly with the new tire size programmed?

Thanks

3/4 Ton 4X4
6.0L Vortec V8
4 Speed Automatic (4L70-E HD)Transmission.

They don't make a 6 speed automatic.

Subject: RE: FLASHPAQ.COM: Support Request

I have already emailed and called you several times. Here are the
normal questions you asked when I was originally trying to clear the
warning lights, along with the responses I was giving you.

1.) 2007 3/4 Ton Suburban, 4X4, 6.0L engine, Factory 3.73 Gears, lifted
with 35" Pro-Comp all-terrain's.
2.) Yes, I programmed in my new tire height (I think it was 34.5").
3.) Yes, I measured from the ground to the top of the tire, and did not
assume that it was 35" because the sidewall said 35".
4.) First, I programmed 3.73 because that's what your phone tech said I
was
supposed to do.
5.) Yes, I called back, and a different tech said to program it as
"stock",
not as 3.73. Yes, I programmed it back to stock.
6.) The check engine light no longer comes on, but any time I am
accelerating, my warning "ding" comes on, and the ABS and BRAKE light
illuminate on the dash. They do not go off until I pull over, shut
down, and re-start. This never happened until I intalled your
programmer.
7.) Yes, I checked for DTC's. None ever get stored
8.) Your Tech department told me to update my tuner.
9.) I tried to update my tuner, and now it doesn't work at all thanks to
your software.
10.) I turned off every possible protection device, inluding firewalls
on BOTH my home desktop and home laptop computer. Your software is
broken...NOT MY COMPUTER (or all of your other customer's computers).
11.) Yes, I am getting tired of answering the same questions over and
over, again and again.
12.) Yes, I began to save all of my emails as of today so I don't have
to keep answering the same questions.

If you have any revolutionary suggestions, please let me know. I can't
use the programmer until someone can update it anyway.

Thanks. I would appologize for my "frustrated tone"...but I'm pretty
upset, so you will just need to deal with it for now.

Matt

I apologize for the issue that you're experiencing. I was unaware of
anything that was going on aside from the firewall issue.

Let me see if I can handle the issue you're experiencing with your
vehicle. First off, what kind of vehicle is it? What is the issue you're
experiencing?

Thanks

Ryan,

I just got off the phone with your tech department. They told me that
even after I find a way to get my flashpaq to work again, it will
probably not fix the lights that come on (ck engine, BRAKE, and ABS).
They said that the only way to prevent the lights from coming on is to
re-flash my Suburban to stock and leave it that way. I said "The whole
reason that I bought this was to make it so my speedometer was right,
and when it's in stock mode, it won't be right". Your tech said "Well,
that's the only way it will work".

WAIT A MINUTE!!! WHY DID I EVER BUY THIS THING IF IT ONLY WORKS IN
STOCK MODE???

I will be contacting the shop that I bought this at when they open today
(Tognotti's Auto World) and asking for a full refund. At that point,
1/2 of my problem might get fixed ($450 back into my credit card).

I will then have to take my Suburban to the dealer (If Tognotti's can
not update my flashpaq) and rent a car while they re-flash it. I am
very disappointed with your product, and with your technical support
staff. You guys can't seem to answer my question about what you have
told the dozens of customers on your website that have the same issues.
Are you telling them all "Tough Luck"?

I am tempted to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, and
you can be sure that I will if this has compromised my vehicle's
warranty in any way. I will also contact ALL of the people on your
website chat board that I can get a hold of stating that they had the
same issues that I have had to see if they would like to join me by
filing with the BBB also.

In summation, I plan to:

1.)Try to get my flashpaq updated at Tognotti's Auto World so I can
return my Suburban to stock. If they (your product's dealer) can't
update your product, I will need to go to my Chevy dealer for a
"re-flash"...and your flashpaq will still be worthless and un-usable.

2.)Attempt to get a full refund even though I am barely over your 30 day
mark

3.) Take this as far as I need to with the internet, the government, etc
until I get my BRAND NEW Suburban running properly again, and my money
back.

Thanks,

Matt

The software is installed successfully. That is not the problem. It is
going through the update and then cutting off and giving you that error
message. It is giving you that error message at that point because
something is cutting it off. If the software was not installed
correctly, it would not open up at all.

You can either return the product to us to have it updated, or you can
try another computer, or you can return it to a local Superchips dealer
to have them update it at their store.

Thanks

You have not answered my question. What am I supposed to do? What did
you tell other customers to do? Do you have a dealer in my area that
can update my tuner? Please do not continue to blame my computer for
your products inability to be installed correctly. Maybe you could send
me a CD with a hard copy of the update.

That error message is telling you there is some type of firewall or some
type of internet security software that is blocking the download. Once
you have disabled these, you should be good to go.

Comments:Hi. I have a username on my account (subon35's) and have
registered my Flashpaq with you. I bought this tuner 2 months ago. I was
having a problem with my 2007 Suburban after programming it with my
flashpaq: The ABS light and BRAKE light (on the dashboard) come on every
time my Suburban is under a load (towing and/or acceleration). I emailed
you guys about a month ago, and you told me to update my flashpaq. I
finally tried to update it tonight, and it keeps saying "Database error,
please call superchips, code G-6F". When this happens, my computer says
"Error occurred readig Byte from server" and "other unknown error
#10054". What can I do to: 1.) Update my tuner if that's what I need to
do. 2.) Make my vehicle work WITHOUT warning lights. I looked on Yahoo,
and it seems like dozens of people are having trouble updating their
flashpaq! s...and those same people are having trouble with warning
lights on their vehicles. Please help!!!

Matt has called in and has been troubleshooting with another technician.
However, he was unable to get the issue resolved so I'm in the process of seeing what we can do with the programming issue he's having.

We have already determined the 10054 error he was receiving was a firewall or security issue. Now we're in the midst of trying to get the ABS light to remain off.

The GM engineers are looking into this as we speak. I apologize for the inconvenience. I'm doing my best to get the issue taken care of.

Thanks.

I have given SC a chance to help. Apparently the tunrers only work on some vehicles for the DAQ. It just wierd that I have two of the same make year and model trucks and the DAQ works on one and not the other. I think SC with all of this technology should be ablr to fix the problem. But I guess you only fix stuff if it has a great demand. Very unhappy with SC.

Could you be more specific?

Which vehicles, and what is the tuner part number?

This is the impression I've gotten as well. It seems they don't really care about supporting the customers they already have. I guess they figure "who cares, we got our money already" and just worry about supporting new vehicles that people don't have a product for yet.

My truck is only 3 years old, and there was supposed to be an update out at the beginning of the year for transmission control and we've seen nothing and all I hear every time I ask for it is either no response or I get fed a line of bs saying its coming. I'm pretty sick of waiting to be honest. My last response was that it will be out in 2010...is that the end of 2010 too? A year from what we were originally told? Rediculous..

Do you think that not taking care of there existing custumers is there intention? Doesn't make sense.. I have been buying Superchip's since 2001 and if I had an issue I would send the programmer back to them and a few days later It would show up in my mailbox ready to go.. Never had a problem with Superchip's customer service. I guess we have come to a time where people don't want to pick up the phone and get things done, instead they type on a keyboard and nothing happens for weeks.. I have put a total of 800.000 miles on the last four trucks and all of them had one model superchip or another. No engine problems ever due to the Superchip.. If you have a problem call them up. Don't come on here talking nonsense.

Well conratulations, give yourself a pat on the back for not having any issues. Good for you. You want to criticize me for not picking up the phone? There's no action I could possibly take(including calling) to make Superchips put out their updates on time. It has nothing to do with me, or typing a response through a keyboard. It has to do with them and when they get things done and their priorities. I could care less how many miles you've put on your trucks, so instead of tooting your own horn about yourself and your experience, open your eyes and read my post. It has nothing to do with the performance of their product or my satisfaction with the product itself. I'm happy with my tuner and it does all of what was advertised. But it's disappointing when they put out dates on their product updates and don't keep to them, or don't respond at all when you inquire about it. If the only thing you were supposed to do was pick up the phone, they wouldn't have this forum, or e-mail address to also contact them through.

Instead of lurking around on this forum with nothing better to do than criticize others for posting about their experiences (which is what this forum is for) maybe keep your opinion to yourself and come to terms with the reality that there are people that do actually have issues, and issues that won't be solved with a simple phone call, as you seem to believe everything can be solved with. I won't be responding to another one of your posts, as you obviously don't actually read what people post, and from now on I'll patiently wait for SC to put out their updates when they say they will, like I have been since last year.

I won't be responding to another one of your posts, as you obviously don't actually read what people post, and from now on I'll patiently wait for SC to put out their updates when they say they will, like I have been since last year.

What an idiot..

thecause17,

With software releases their are many factors that can cause us to miss a projected date for options. We do testing like no other company in the industry, we have literally hundreds of different files and combonations that we have to test. You may have heard of other companies coming out with options that become harmful to the trucks.

We have released some options in the last few weeks that allow for either "stock" or Superchips modified trans tuning. The next faze of trans tuning will blow some peoples minds, it is not for everyone.

Ron
