I think in order to be competitive with the Diablo Predator tuner, Superchips needs to start having comparable options. They have more options, custom tuning capability, and it's cheaper. I love the trans and other options, but wish there was more tuning options. Another thing I am disapointed with is the power gains, or lack there of. I dynoed my car with my catback system with the stock tune to get a baseline, and then programmed it to the 91 perf. tune. I gained a measly 1 hp and 7 ft-lbs. It did flatten the curves out, but still. The torque I'll admit is significant, however the HP might have just been difference between runs. I am seriously considering converting to the Diablo. I love the custom spark, and fuel tuning, and if you don't want to tune it yourself you cantell them your upgrades and they will e-mail you custom tune. I'll probably wait to switch until I finish the rest of my exhaust. I need to get back to the dyno though and see what my intake has gotten me and if i really do need to be able to adjust my fuel for a custom tune.

Superchips promised us custom tuning when the 3815 was released, and never delivered on their promise...The Flashpaq has been a good tuner for me personally, but when the Diablo comes out for the trucks, mine will be going bye bye

Thats seems to be most peoples comment on custom tunes. Diablo or SCT. Both will offer user or dyno tuner custom programing with there own software suites.

The target market that Superchips is trying to hit does not really cover engine bores/larger heads/forced induction etc. Where you will need a custom tuner to add things like boost retard or 2-bar+ map sensors or totally different fuel maps running off of larger injectors etc.

There is no compelling reason to buy a Flashpaq, when compared to Predator. I don't know why anyone would buy a Flashpaq when they can get a Predator for less money and more features.

Making the right decision with aftermarket products is tuff if you do not do your research.

Every car I own either has a motorswap or has at least 3 modifications, even my wife’s car has 3 mods. I wish we would go the way of customization that we used too.

We do very good with near bone stock vehicles, not everyone has just 2-3 mods. So please help your friends buy the correct product for their needs.

Ron
