I have a 07 Dodge Ram 1-ton 5.9 liter (* 6 speed manual. When I have a load on and I accellerate in 5th @ 2100rpms and mash the pedal (when I,m passing someone) the engine races to 2300 to 2700 rpms and the truck goes nowhere, like the clutch is slipping. Is there too much torque and the clutch plate is slipping or is there a superchip problem? It also happens in 6th gear. I downloaded the chip and went back to stock the problem did not occur.

Thanks in advance for the help

I would take the truck to a transmission shop and have them ride along with you to see if the clutch is slippling.
