I've got a 2007 Magnum Hemi that I bought the flashpaq for. But I can't update the unit. I continually get a 10057 error message when I try to log on to get the latest upgrade. SuperChips basically says, duhhh I don't know. I've got high speed cable internet on a dual core PC with XP Pro. I have no problems with downloading any other software from any other source. Sounds a weee bit fishy to me. Has anybody else ran across this problem. Basically if I can't upgrade the unit it's useless to me.

yep I have had the same problem for about 18mths.
I have followed ALL SC tips for connection.
I have managed three updates but sometimes it has taken 20 attempts.
I love the product...its great for my truck but these connection issues are a real pain.
i have tried three different computer...same problem.
They say that it might be my dsl but as it is A T & T and I have no issues with other online programs it seems very strange.....I really do think it is their end.
I keep getting timed out and characters missed.

Would be nice if SC had it together. Should I be posting this somewhere else.

Well perhaps rants will get Sc attention.
I cannot say how disappointed I am that what should be a simple update process should fail for so many people...you only need to read the LX and other forums to see how bad it is.
With all the other product software downloads XP users do each and everyday without any issues I think that the old excuse it the users kit not SC is a bit of ducking the issue.
Also the fact that if the download fails you loose whatever you have already loaded is really stone age....if there is an error in download the old date should not be wiped or partly overwritten.
I say again...I LIKE SC and the core product....my truck is great but just getting ready for a 2nd prime update has left me with a useless unit...three days trying and still no progress.
Also SC should give us Server status at all times so we do not keep trying if the server is down...this would also relieve some frustration....that is in thier interest...
Just noticed that some of the drop down menus in the profile update section do not work just one example state...

The real measure of a company shows when the chips are down. When all is up and good everyone is smiling. It's when things go wrong that the real measure of competence surfaces. I have no need for this measure of inadequecy. In this day and age there is no excuse for it. I'm simply returning the unit and purchasing a Diablo which seems to be much more versatile and pleasing to a wider audience of users. End of problem.

Well you will never guess.
A friend turned up with an old emachine laptop
Connected and downloaded application...connected SC and the G-6 message went away.....so I thought lets get the download.
No way.. it cleared the g-6 message but then would not run the application.
Not sure what that proves but at least I can go back to stock if I need to and sell mine and by another tuner.
Its a real shame...

10054
If the customer was in the middle of updating and sees an error like 10054 or Error reading byte from server please have them check the firewalls and/or security settings here are some things to look into: Internet service provider firewalls/security (like AOL, Sbc Global, or Road Runner)Software Firewalls/Security (Like Norton, Macafee, Panda, or Spyware blockers) Hardware Firewalls Or Network Firewalls (Have them check their router for built in firewalls or maybe something like a Sonic Wall)Windows Firewall/Security/Privacy
This code is from Microsoft themselves.
I hope this helps.
If you have time to call one of our guys this week we can help you get it up and running.
G-6f
Is the tuners error code saying that the program was partialy loaded. This error will be there until the downlaod is complete.

How do you have it setup?
Are you towing with the truck?
You would be one of the first people I have heard of that does not like the Ranger tuning.
