i purchased a flashpaq for my 2007 dodge ram 5.7 and found that overall performance is better without the use of a flashpaq, my mpg went down when using it and i had poor throttle response thru out. i ran 91 octane fuel put it on the performance tuning and used as a daily driver mostly on the hyw and on cruise.
since then i put the truck back to stock tuning and compared, the truck gets a little better mpg and has better thottle response and i ran 87 octane thru it for the test. i sell and install flashpaqs at my store i have to say that this tuner does'nt do much of anything in regards to performance increases for the 06 and up ram hemi. i saw a much more significant increase in performance by putting on an afe cold air kit and a helix throttle body spacer.
i will admit in the performance tuning mode with the 91 octane at wide open throttle there is a mild increase but still not enough to justify the cost of the flashpaq, when you can spend the same amount on the cold air and spacer and see double the increase.
I ask does anyone have a better real success story for the 4wd 06 and up hemi.
