finally got the flashpaq for my 08 jk unlimited rubicon. downloaded the software and attempted to update the programmer. the software updated successfully. while trying to update the device i couldn't get the device to connect with the software. after several attempts, i turned up the volume on the laptop and found the programmer was continually connecting and disconnecting. turns out that either the connector on the device or the supplied cable connector is loose and won't stay connected at the flashpaq. the box the device came in has big red stickers stating that once the seal is broken that the device is non retunable so i sat for 15 mins holding the connector to the device so it would update. i am still debating as to whether or not i should connect it to the jk, if the obd2 connector is of the same quality i might wind up with a dead jeep if it disconnects during the programming. i can't return the flashpaq and i am paranoid about connecting it to the jk. i am not very happy with my purchase at this point in time. should i go buy another cable to see if the connection is any better? should i just bite the bullet and attempt to program the jk?

IF you are sure that it is a USB cable, just swap if out with another one. It is universal.

Who is your internet provider? Is it a hard wire connection?

Because air cards, Wifi and other air type connections are too unstable to hold a steady download. Securities on the PC can slow and chop up the download also.

I would suggest to try it on the Jeep.
