Hi Ron;

I have had 4.7 Jeeps for 10 years (a 2000 and a 2004). I have done many mods on my 2000 including cams, 3" kolak exhaust, HO intake and TB.

The 2004 4.7HO has no mods except the SC.

The Superchips 3875 has by far been the best and most noticable modification i have ever made. The power increase is not simply noticable, but huge. I am shocked.

What is really impressive is that power is much more available at all throttle positions making throttle response amazing and enticing. The vehicle is way more fun to drive. Your literature says the 4.7HO gets an added 20 HP from the SC. I really don't beleive this. The difference in power is more than 20.

I have been having some trouble with the Data Logging feature and ignitin timing but you are looking into that for me.

What would i like to see (and that i would pay for)? Two things;
1. I have ready access to 94 octane fuel so i would like to see the ability to add more timing advance.
2. more flexibility with the transmission shift points.

Keep up the good work. Absolutely fabulous product.
George

moparmaniac, yes the 4.7 is an awesome motor. My first Jeep has 165,000 miles (264kms) and going strong. Lots of mods and a hard life but no engine or tranny problems.

The HO is very strong and has noticably more power stock than my modified older 4.7.
I assume that some of this difference is because Jeep detuned the 4.7 in 2001 because it has no knock sensors and some owners were having problems with low quality gas. The HO has dual knock sensors. Big mistake by mopar to build a modern engine without knock sensors.

I see that the latest version of the 4.7 has 310 HP with new cylinder head and piston designs. SC says they get huge power increases from this motor...wonder why they can get 50 HP out of one of these but only 20 HP out of the older 4.7's???
