Ok, well I bought a superchips 2724 Tuner for my 04 Automatic GTO. At 1st, I bought a k&n air filter, NGK plugs & wires. I installed the tune and noticed the car was more brisky. So then I ordered a pair of long tube headers, the exhaust remained stock. I went to the track (It's a 1/8 track) and was surprised with my results. On street tires, I ran an 8.45 @ 85.5 mph w/ a 1.95 60' Wow, I was beating other bolt on LS2 GTO's, including my brothers LS2 Automatic GTO which was dyno tuned with a cold air intake, catback & shorty headers. His car made 380WHP (Kinda over rated, but that's what the Dynapck at Haddadmotorsports read) His car ran 8.65 @ 86 mph w/ a 2.00 60'. Just recently, I ordered a 3600rpm stall converter, drag radials and a catback. To my surprise, I ran 8.0 @ 85 mph. Still on the superchips tune!
I can't believe how well the tune is running after all these mods!
Superchips, great job on the tune! Your team of Engineers know exactly what to do and do it well!!!

*****Update*****
Went down the 1/4 mile and here is the result:
60'.......1.89 (Wheel Hop and some wheel spin)
1/4......12.78 @ 107.47mph

Just curious if the 2724 would have the same tune as the 2825 for the ls1 auto cars? Thanks

Also wanted to know how much the timing is advanced with the 2825, like would it be dangerous to spray nitrous on ?

Yes it would be dangerous to run a shot with the tuning.
You may want to look into HP tuners for programs that will work a shot.

do you how many degrees advanced this tune is? Hp tuners is def the next stop, thanks agian for the quick replys.

It is anywhere from 7 degrees up to 20. Not going to be safe for more than a CAI and catback exhaust.

hello everybody
i have an 04 gto ls1 auto, it has headers and an k and n filter.
other than that its stock. i just brought this programmer, i was hoping u guys can tell me how to set it up for the best performance, rite now i have it set to superchips mode (SC)
please help me I'm new to gtos and superchips
