..... I'd encourage you to strongly consider buying a Superchips unit.

When I tuned my 2010 Jeep Rubicon Unlimited, the anemic stock powerplant suddenly came to life! And, the extra non-tuning features in the programmer go a long way toward correcting problems off-roaders frequently encounter (such as speedo corrections after tire-size or gear changes, management of low tire-pressure situations, etc.)

Now, if you're spending some time reading the "Rants" section, I suggest that you take those rants with a grain of salt. Also, be realistic about what a tuner can do for you in your particular application. I'd say that a great majority of the 'rants' are from people who have unrealistic expectations about what a tuner, ANY TUNER, can do for them. A tuner is not a supercharger or intercooled turbo. If your vehicle is already optimally tuned from the factory, there's only so much any programmer can do to give you much more. That said, the additional "tweaks" you can make with your Superchips tuner, and the non-tuning features (such as those mentioned above, and diagnostic engine code reading, online updates, etc.) make the tuner worth the price.

Now, I'm going to go out on a limb here and suggest that most of the companies selling tuners offer tunes that are similar to those of Superchips. Like I said above, one can only program a vehicle so far; no company can offer programming that exceeds the capabilities of the native system.

So let's assume that all the other programmers on the market offer similar tunes and similar extra features at a similar price to Superchips. Why would you go with Superchips? The answer is "SERVICE AFTER THE SALE". If you spend only a little bit of time on this forum, you will see that Superchips goes out of their way to resolve problems and issues with their product. They also know their product, and your vehicle, so well that they can tell you what you can realistically expect from Superchips; they will be honest about what their product has to offer. Furthermore, they spend lots of time with INDIVIDUAL USERS researching issues and problems. Just today, Ron@Superchips offered to look into specific choices I had for a cold air exhaust, just to make sure that CAI system was compatible with my Superchips tuner.

That is the kind of customer service and individual attention that I don't think I've ever witnessed with any other aftermarket parts supplier. I'm recommending Superchips to my friends and family.

I 100% agree with the above.

The only other thing to think about is how far are you going to take your engine mods?

If you will be stock to mostly stock, SC is the only way to go.

If you have cams, intakes, headers, etc. in your future, you need to think about a programmable tuner which can accomadate custom tunes for your planned engine mods.
