Been awhile since i updated the Cortex 3950 and now that i did and went and installed new 91 octane update. (it allready was running the 91 oct. program) at start i now have a bad idle at the beginning of start up. revs up then down for the first few minutes, is this normal for the update. I have the Ram Air hood with functioning intake and the Borla cat back system. And btw i dont see anywhere in the forums what is the average gains in HP and tourqe for this 91 oct program?

I would read and clear the trucks diagnostics codes, and see how it runs.

If that does not help, take the tuning out and verify that the truck is running properly still. If it does not then their may be something else going on.

If it runs right, drive it for a hundred miles and reinstall the tuning and see if it still does it.

We have not changed anything in the tuning that should have caused this.

How many miles have you driven on the stock tune after removing the tuning?

We can not turn off emissions with our products.

Im about 100 miles in now with tuneing removed and no idle troubles with start up. I miss the 91 octane tune and performance... but want to verify that the bad idle was from the tune and this would be the 2nd time i have went back to stock to verify..

How long have you had the tuning? And with good operation?

The issue came up right after installing the headers?

What is the tuners serial number?

Year and model of truck, and list of mods to the truck also.

Thanks.

Ron

What changed on the vehicle from the time you installed the tuning in August? Did it run fine until Oct>?

Your also behind on your updates now. You should be up to 463.

I do not have anyone else with a idle issue on the Hemi's.

At what point did the tuning work properly?

87 octane tune was good, no bad idle and no engine codes from the o2's. for 2 days
91 octane tune gave no more bad idle but an hour into the drive the po430 code came on said i was too lean...
switched back to the 87 octane tune with the 92 octane gas still in it and going on 3 days now and still no fault codes at all. can the 91 octane tune not be set up right for my set up. i understand the high flow cats i have, would regulary throw a po430 code but since running your 87 octane tune and its not causeing any codes what can we do to get me the 91 tune and not throw codes as well?

Basically this means that the oxygen sensor downstream of the catalytic converter on bank 2 is detecting that the converter is not working as efficiently as it should be.

It is part of the vehicle emissions system and we can not alter this.

I wish we could help.

yes i understand the code. but why doesn't it cause the PO430 code under the 87 octane tune as well, only the 91 octane tune. Its reading lean yet the 87 that's modified is not reading lean. I'm having having trouble with the understanding of this.
