Hi, my truck was broken into last night and my Cortex 2950 was stolen. Unfortunately, I did not record my unit serial number or any info from it. But I did have it updated a couple time a couple years back so I assume Superchips may have my VIN on record. Is there anything I can do to block the unit from getting updated and get my trcuk back to stock from the perf tune thats in it? Thanks

If you do not have the S/n and have not updated it in the last 13months, I may not be able to help.
Send me the email address you used to register and I will check.
We had our server go down 13months ago and lost all of our customers information, but if you have updated if on the new update system we may be abel to help.

I think I'm out of luck. I have not updated in last 13 monthes. I was trying to log into your system using my old email which was sd.l@telus.net and it would not let me. Can you check and let me know. How do I get he truck out of performance mode without the programmer? Thanks Shannon

I had also sent it in for repair in 2008. I had posted in this forum, the subject: Tuner Error G-07, and you had replied to call and discuss with someone. I believe I had talked to Ivan. Anyway you would have had my unit in your shop around May, June, July or Aug of 2008. Maybe that will help. Thanks

To get the tuning back to stock you would need to have the computer on the truck flashed. Wheither it be at the GM dealer or if you bought another superchip, and with a few internet updates we can get you back to stock.
I see where you sent it back for update, but at that time we did not gather in the S/N for you.
What I would be doing with the S/n anyway would be to flag the tuner so no one could use it, if they updated it.

Is there any record of the VIN? Can the unit be blocked based on the VIN? It just burns me that someone could be using my programmer.

I am sorry, but I can not do anything without the tuners serial number.
