My linq paired fine with my phone. I was getting some data from my engine and I was attempting a tune when the link gave a message saying Database Error and to update the linq. I updated the linq and was still getting the same message. I tried uninstalling the SC update software and re-installing, then tried updating the linq again. Still getting the same message. It was saving my stock settings and looked like it had finished when it originally gave this message.

What is the year, make and model of the vehicle?

What is the tuners serial number?

Has the LINQ been updated after this happened?

Ron

2010 Jeep JK 4DR Rubicon. SER# 0000000200195714. As I said above, I have updated the tuner and the situation is the same. I uninstalled and re-installed the SC update software and then updated the linq again. Still same problem. This morning tried logging on to the SC update program and it said I wasn't a registered user. I called customer service and they said my account got unauthorized somehow. I was told that my case had never entered the system. I am very good with computers and the mistake could not have been on my end. I tried entering the case twice since I received no confirmation of my case entry (That was 3 and 1/2 weeks ago). They also looked at my linq while on the phone and said it was using and old database. They had me run a custom update while on the phone and said everything should work fine now. I went out to my Jeep plugged in the linq and immediately saw the light blinking in error mode. I started my app on my phone and got the same lovely message, "Database Error" and to update. I went back in and tried updating again. It said it was updating the database. After it was done I returned to the jeep and wouldn't you know it, same error message. I returned to my computer and plugged in my linq again. As I write this it is still plugged in and has been for about an hour. It says "currently analyzing hardware - do not unplug your device" so I am not going to until I have some kind of answer.

Unfortuatly we have to stop right here.

This product will not work on anything newer than a 2010. This will not work on the 2011 and 12's.

I would recommend to return the product for a refund.

I do not have a expected date of release on the newer Jeep products.

I have sent this over to the engineers to review.
This will take a few days.

Please refer to this case number if you call in.

Horrible customer service. Have never been contacted since starting this so called "case". Called Superchips the other day and was told they were working on it. Was told they wouldn't blame me for returning the product. How long does it take to work on a problem with a product that is sold as a working finished product? My truck is stock. The idea for the vivid linq was great but it is far from a working finished product. I don't understand how you can put it on the market as such.

I have the same problem with mine sometimes. You may need to shut off vehicle, unplug Linq for a few minutes (I reset my phone/tablet, just to make sure) Plug linq back in, reconect, wait a few minutes until i goto DAQ menu. then it seems to work.

It's a good product, but Every new product, even the jeep your driving has issues in it's first model year. They can only test so much in house until thousands of customers have the product, then every bug will come to light.

I'm not saying the linq doesn't have any issues, It does. Mine are slowly being resolved, but for supported vehicles it makes tons of power, and I know Ron and the rest of the superchips team will get it all worked out.

I am not new to electronics. I am pretty advanced in this category. I have tried everything under the sun that I can do on my end. The problem isn't my vehicle or the way I have tried to install or run the Linq. The problem is solely in the product. It's one thing for a product to have bugs, but when the product barely works at all it is not ready for market. My Linq does not work at all now. It's a decoration on my workbench and has been for almost a month while I wait for a solution. The Linq worked for about 20 minutes before I tried a tune with it and for those 20 minutes it did not fully function. It had the same problems as other people describe, eg. false readouts or meters that had no readout at all. This product needed to bake at least 6 more months. I feel like all we did was pay for the R&D for Superchips and pay to beta test.

Ok, I am going to set up a RMA to send this LINQ back, and send you a new one.
I will call you today.
